I don't drink - so I'm not concerned about the cost of liquor, however I do drive and I'm not willing to pay more for my gas because the state has to raise the money is will lose by raising the taxes on other items such as gas. I refuse to subsidize someones drinking habits with higher taxes on items I do use.
Lets see - the gov took taxes out or she paid taxes on it for him. and medicare collected money for his health care what about that money?
I thought about this and I wonder - was it illegal for her to use the money ever? OK If my name was on a joint account and the money came in - did it then become their money and he had the right to share it with her. Seems to me once it was cashed it became his money to do what he wanted with it if he chose to share it why counldn't he. I get my ss check and cash it and do what I want. He wasn't declared dead. At what point should she have done something different - when she thought it was time for him to have died somewhere. What if he had come back?
So - maybe some of you should go down there and pickett the street. I'm thinking the complainers would get the message and maybe annoyed.
What do they do with the supplies they had left over from the year before? I watched shoppers getting all the things listed on "the list" I wondered how much glue does a student use? Couldn't they just get some IF they needed it. How many need a protracter the first day of school. How about only asking what they are only going to use - keep it simple. Having to have all the stuff the first day in a time where so many are out of work is just not being considerate of the parents and putting undo pressure on the children.
I think Men in general are too rough with kids. It's a miracle more are not seriously hurt. A lot of them are in ways that are not obvious to the eye.
Maybe there should be a mandatory class in school on how easily a child can be hurt. They are not footballs or infant gymnists. Tossing them up in the air is a very popular stunt I have seen both sexs do. How about the little heads bobbing along in the backpack - I cringe when I see that. Another one is the strollers facing into the sun and the sun is right in thier eyes. Also whatever happened to wrapping up the little ones in a recieving blanket, the little arms and leggs are blue with cold and the Mom has a sweater on. Please educate the youn people how to take good care of the children!!
I know I'm going to take many hits on this - however I firmly believe that when it became legal to kill children in the womb the attitude that they were disposable came in to play big time. The thinking " I should/could have killed you when I had the chance." A lot less regard for the little ones. A lot of people just don't like kids at any age. If you don't treasure them they will be taken away from us. They are being abused so much these days and a most people don't care and just stick their head in the sand. Protect them and above all just be nice and treat them with respect.
Sorry doesn't float - he doesn't look like he is having a difficult time.
I would have thought a more somber tone would have been appropriate with all the people that lost their lives in the tornado. His "I feel bad about it" didn't last very long.
