Term Limits - Maximum of 2 for Senators, Congressman (no serving in both houses) and Judges. 2. Put all elected and appointed officials on the same retirement as other federal workers allowing retirment after eight years of service and draw Social Security after age 62. 3. Congressional committee appointments be based on lottery and leadership of committee be selected by vote of members. No more placement to powerful committtee based on senority. 4. Abolish IRS and adopt a national sales tax. Rate should be one that escalates with price of item purchased. Eliminate the tax cheats. 5. Establish a national lottery to fund needed infrastructure improvements. 6 Strap the current bailout stimulus and the printing of more money. Return to a Gold and Silver standard for the monetary reserve. We still have a chance if enough of us 912ers flood the mail and internet with communication to our own elected representatives and senators stating "we are fed up with the same old politics" and advise them that they should give up their salaries until the "Right Change" has been made and if they don't we will help campaign against them when they are running for re-election. Let's all push for a maximum of two term limit in either the House or Senate and prohibition against serving in one and then serving in the other like is allowed in CA. Mike Huckabee offered an excellent suggestion for stimulaing the economy by suspending personal and corporate income taxes for three months and placing the money in the hands of the people and companies. Washington should scrap the bailout that they passed and take a more common-sense approach. How about the American just sweeping the halls of congress clean and starting over with new representation that is interested in working for the people, and while doing that change their own salary and retirement packages to the same federal system as other ordinary employee and especially the best of the best, our military?
