When you get some folks established in your area remember to use those pocket Constitutions to teach the next generation what you're doing and why.

Jerry, I vehemently assert my respect for your well thought out and declared commentary. Thanks to Janet Napolitano and the DHS we have ALL been categorized as domestic terrorists or at the very least potential domestic terrorists. I initially thought that was a very bad thing but I'm beginning to see some value in it, for our side. According to the Golden Rule of 'Do unto others ...' we can now accept that we have nothing more to lose and everything to gain. We have been labeled 'enemies' by this administration. While its a broad brush it clearly draws the lines we don't want to believe could be drawn. Be willing to stand for what you know is right regardless whether its a direct impact to you personally.
Would they still pay 7% if they had less of a contributon to the Federal system ... under a flat tax system each states contribute to the federal pool would necessarily diminish.
A Flat Tax needs to be implemented at ALL levels though. Assuming 10% Federal, then 4% State, then say maybe 1% local. But if it can't be done across the board the states will just pick up the excess money they will see as just 'laying around'.
Thanks also to Janet Napolitano, DHS Secretary for her evaluation of 'Right-Wing Extremists' without her defining her (and the administration's) enemies we wouldn't have yet another wonderful gift for displaying the narrow minded, no closed mindedness, of the extreme leftist agenda of the new administration. I've always found that the best way to make someone an enemy was to define my enemies in terms that fit them well. The Department of Homeland Security has told us all very clearly that they wish to be our enemies by describing us as their enemies. The logic might sound kind of circular but really its just the golden rule put into real practice.
I've been pondering something concerning recent 'Media' coverage of the Tea Parties. At first I was, of course, sickened by some of the coverage, after I learned what they meant by some of the terms they used to describe a grass roots movement taking shape. Later, I got mad, as did many of you. Now I think I'm actually starting to appreciate the coverage. The several leftists who came out with disgusting and nauseating coverage will, thankfully, galvanize people who are willing to stand up for something. You never get hit by tomotatoes when you are buried deep within the crowd, but when you stand up taller and prouder of your position, they can't help but attack. It's the only path they have to vindicate their own point of view. Over the years I've learned that when I run into a head wind its because I'm moving toward something.

You might remember that they elected someone offering basically "Hope for Change". They gave Hope and got Change. The new leader was Adolf Hitler.
Being prior military, I can atest to the fact that most service members understand their oath and obligation. In the event of armed conflict with the military, the military would be effectively neutralized by their oaths of service. At least 50 % would refuse to follow such orders and would resist with the force they are trained to use.
