KY3 : Bill to buy new trees in Springfield MO to go before City Council | KY3 News, Weather, Sports - Spri

10-15ft - maybe 50ft- no way unless the city wants to pay me for denying me the use of my property. Our city father's made a decision a long time ago not to bury the power lines to save money, and to periodically have to clean up after storms. Trees save homeowners hundreds in cooling costs each year alone - besides adding asthestic value to our property. I have lived in Springfield for 50+ years, and we have been out of power around 20 days out of that time - not a bad record.

An old saying applies here: "Envy shoots at others and wounds itself." How sad!

It may be old-fashioned - but my dogs live outside in a doghouse. If you have a dog in the house, your house stinks! Ask any realtor. I wouldn't keep a cow, horse, pig, chicken or any other animal in the house either.

Sorry - not everyone shares the view that spay, neuter is better. We have a matched male/female pair which we bred a couple years ago and then gave away the puppies to people who were grateful not to have to pay the outrageous fees charged by the Humane Society. We then had the male neutered and we have regretted it. He has gained a lot of weight and his personality changed. Thankfully we did not subject our female to this.

KY3 : Former AFLAC executive admits ducking the IRS for four years | KY3 News, Weather, Sports - Springfie

A few years have passed since this video was made. An internet search shows of one the prominent people in this video returned the following: "Sherry Peel Jackson, a former IRS revenue agent and certified public accountant, told a federal jury Tuesday she was sure she did not have to file income tax returns. But after less than 30 minutes of deliberations, the jury convicted Jackson of failing to file income tax returns for four years, despite the alleged fact that no such law mandating the payment of income tax even exists. "

Kirkland pleaded guilty. Just like Leona Helmsley, who stated "only the little people pay taxes" and was sent to jail and had to pay up her taxes as well as penalties, tax protesters and evaders only hurt the rest of us with their greed and selfishness.

I am no lawyer - however I do know the U. S. Constitution is the basis for our laws, and the text of the 16th amendment is very straight forward: "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration". I looked at your website http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=752175849... but an unnamed law with a Subchapter N, Section 861 can't trump the Constitution.

The Sixteenth Amendment (Amendment XVI) to the United States Constitution allows the Congress to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states or basing it on Census results. This amendment overruled Pollock v. Farmers' Loan & Trust Co. (1895), which limited the Congress's authority to levy an income tax. It was ratified on February 3, 1913.
