longmontledger.com : Guest Opinion: Longmont rule by 'oligarchy' won't last forever

Ms Fissinger is not representative of the "average voter"...she's a grandstander and promoter of a partisan agenda and attacks anyone who isn't. She says it like it is according to her party perception, but the average voter would most likely not be amused by her wasting their taxpayer dollars.

And the general public needs to know this why again? She had two daughters, who may not have wanted this publicly known to a bunch of online readers. You could have written "foul play is not suspected" if the intent was to give relief to the public knowing there wasn't a murderer out there.

Spray god-da*nit. This is so fricken ridiculous to subject the entire population of Longmont to this risk because a few environmentalists think it's bad for them. If they are at Jim Hamm...they are elsewhere in Longmont. Not every area is tested and many communities in town have open spaces that collect water.

Writing Sarah's campaign speech for re-election already Duane? LOL Sarah may be "book smart"...but she's pound foolish. She has cost the taxpayers THOUSANDS of dollars.

longmontledger.com : Levison falls short in municipal league vote

The only votes taken by council were to sign off on an endorsement to place Sarah Levison's name on the ballot (of which Mayor Baum voted "nay" twice on and has held firm with his reasons as to why.) She still had to get enough votes from all the cities who cast votes to win a position. Sounds like they (as well as our mayor) thought four others were more deserving.

According to the article, Sarah Levison came in fifth. Guess she wasn't as popular there as she thought. The way she talked about this during council gave the impression that CML was excited to have her join them. As for the link to the article by takenote commenter Kaye Fissinger of FRL, your well placed insider was obviously Sean McCoy, who appears to have ran kicking and screaming to the Ledger and your delusional wannabe media site. I agree with seeandavoid, Councilmember McCoy needs to be censured for his inappropriate behavior as noted in the article. Regardless of Mayor Baum's vote, Sarah Levison wouldn't have been elected regardless. It also was not in Longmont's best interest to have a partisan leaning official like herself representing Longmont's best interests on a non-partisan board like CML.

Shari Malloy is promoting the agenda of her political party. Shows up with them as a group at council meetings, filed frivilous complaints against registered republicans during a non partisan election, never asks a Republican to sign the Clean Campaigns petition, and gets up and criticizes the elected officials who are not of her particular political party. FYI McSOREly...I object to the partisan nature of this charade. Keep campaigns clean, but keep the bitter partisanship out of my face.

Oh gosh Shari, why not try to mess with the campaigns and get Richard Juday (sore loser in 2008) and Tom McCoy (veteran former council father of tacky current council loudmouth) and try to control civility again in Longmont? That one didn't work either (see notice of disbandment). Karen Benker was the only candidate to sign the "civility pledge". What a joke. I've never seen a bigger bunch of whiners attending council meetings in the last two years at least as I have with the utterly disgraceful displays shown by the local Longmont Area Democrats. Can't take it, but frequently dishing it. But, keep it up. Always entertaining :) Why don't you instead go try to help Jared Polis redistrict Markey's district to try to keep her in office. You won't win here in Longmont, too many are increasingly wise to your veiled efforts.

I don't interpret BILongmont to be giving Ms Malloy a compliment. Why is it that Ms Malloy doesn't advertise that members of the Longmont Area Democrats are conducting this petition? Partisanship has no place in local elections. Big Outside Money? You mean, the Dems receive no outside assistance from OFA? or ProgressNow? What a bunch of hypocrites.

takenote, check the campaign finance reports again before you post this load of cra* As Ms Malloy likes to point out, the biggest money raiser in this campaign was Katie Witt who got a lot of donations from "the people" in Longmont. All this information was available online. Ms Malloy also liked to keep bringing complaints to the Election Committee against Katie Witt...and LOST. The Longmont Area Democrats got their butts handed to them in the last election and are still sore losers. Ms Malloy is just one of many who thinks they can distribute a petition to try to rewrite the rules to sway the elections next time. BILongmont is not fooled either.

<---not Bridgette. Just like takenote is not the editor and founder of her own newspaper no matter what she proclaims to the Coffee Party in Longmont, nor is she the authority on why women get abortions or how they feel afterwards. Nor is she the authority on right wingers or why churches do what they do. HAHA. This is a like a bad game of guess who.

Replace the Times Call? A great day for Longmont? You mean one of the largest employers in Longmont? You'd really wish unemployment on your fellow Longmonters? (many of whom have their own families and children to raise). Good thing you weren't elected Kaye. This comment feed is about an insensitive opinion piece that appeared in the Ledger and not about your disgust for the Times Call.
