When will they learn? Our troops cannot continue to be deployed over and over again and then be put back on the streets as if nothing is wrong. One combat experience changes one forever. If they want to fight a war, then reinstate the draft.

While this is good for our troops now serving and those post 9/11 vets,it is still creating an even more tiered system. They are still vets from WW11,Korea,and Vietnam that are disabled and depends on family members or some other care givers and this dosen't seem to cover them, only post 9/11 vets. All vets are equal and should be treated the same.No favors over one group of vets over another. If they can't treat all vets equal, then tare it down.

Dyno2, In general, the "red-neck" as you say, supports the vets and servicemen and ladies. If the raters, claims processors and decision makers at vba were rednecks,I think the vets would get a better and more accurate decision on their claims.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but ,I'm getting pretty damned PO'd with all this. Why is it always the Vietnam Vet?The VN Vet. lost the war,the VN Vet is dope heads, baby killers, lazy, plugging the system trying to bilk the gov.and the ONLY group of veterans to be divided by being a VN.Vet or a VN ERA Vet. Where will it all end? These idiots must think that all we did was play cards and drink beer. Well give them a 12 month vacation under the same circumstances with all the goodies we had to face, and see how they fare. Now we are getting blamed for clogging the system, and depriving the Vets of OIF and OEF.Sorry to say but if it weren't for the VN Vet,they would have very little benefits to receive.

Quiet frankly, why should those who served in TLC,or certain members of the Bluewater Navy be denied these plates.NVA certainly attacked bases in Thailand, and some members of Bluewater Navy provided close in support fire for the troops on the ground, and most likely save their butts. Why is it that the ones with "Boots on the ground" think they are the only ones to have seen or been in battle and think they are so much more special than others. It took a whole lot more than just these to fight the war.Look at the whole picture.

Well it's another kick in the balls for all veterans, except for post 9/11/2001 vets.It is another step forward for a teired system.Already the gov. has suggested rationing certain types of medical care, and they haven't passed the health care bill yet. This will make it easier for them to push older Vets to the back and just let them die. It's sad to know our own government has turned it's back on the very ones that have gave so much, and many have lost much more,to defend and protect this country. It just about makes me sick. Good job you idiots in the congress and senate.I hope you can continue to sleep well.
