Hello John. Thank you for visiting my website :) I have some questions for you first, though. What soup and Thai pancakes are you talking about? To be honest with you, I'm not familiar with English names for Thai food, so if you could supply me with their Thai names, I might be able to explain to you what it is—and the fact that there are various types of food in Thailand I found your comment very interesting. I've never heard someone saying Thai food lacks variety at all. I would disagree with you on the variety of sauces and condiments in Thailand though. Of course, we use ketchup and chili sauce a lot as multipurpose seasoning. But there are more to Thai food than that. We have special cocktail sauce for seafood, sauce for chicken-rice dish, sauce for spring rolls, sauce for Thai fish cake. A lot of times, famous restaurants pride themselves on the ability to make gourmet sauce for their food. I think this is the strength of Thai food that keeps it flavorful and interesting. At McDonald's, what you see is not American ketchup and Thai ketchup, but I would say that it's more like American ketchup and Thai chili sauce. That's what I miss the most about McDonald's I think. I cannot go to McDonald's in the U.S. and ask for a pouch of chili sauce for my french fries, too. It's Thailand you're living it. We need spice in our life :P

Yes. I've been very hesitant to use the words I learned with my host dad. I know potchari is ok because it's just a regular word describing a chubby person. Words listed here are mostly safe, except a word like uzzai. You'll be surprised how Japanese people react to you using slang words. They love it!

Would you explain what is the C.C.Lemon taste you love? Since writing this post, I have moved on to a lot of other lemonade drinks and I've found them to be pretty good, too. Of course, I'm not pretty big on tasting; it takes me ten years to realize the difference between Pepsi and Coca Cola. So I can't really say how different they taste, unless I drink them all at the same time. About the Zero, yes, it's pretty good. Not as sugary is always good, isn't it? I'd prefer the zero than the original one.

I personally have not experience anything more than stares. I don't think it has escalated to the point that makes it very difficult to control. However, the fact that it hasn't been recognized by the government really makes it profound, and that's why the UN investigator stated that the Japanese should pass a law to combat acts like excluding foreigners from entering some properties. The Koreans and Chinese are among one of the most discriminated against in Japan. But to ensure you, Japanese racism probably isn't as serious as that in the U.S., which can get really out of hand. So far, there's only one super serious violence against another race in Japan that I know of, in which many Koreans were lynched after the Kanto Earthquake (maybe) after they were blamed for looting. So, it can be serious, but right now it's calm but profound.

I personally would drink the Zero kind, but since it isn't in the regular vending machine, it isn't so easy. You can talk about all the health disadvantages all you want, but like many healthier stuff, they aren't readily available.
