Pretty obvious that if the insurance companies can not compete then they are driven out of business and what is left over is a single payer system. Hmm, Obama says "that is unfortunate, but never fear your wise and friendly government single payer system will save the day."

I totally agree. Richard Simmons has offered testimony before Congress and offered up a program, but our brilliant congressman have nothing as of yet. Kids need PE and also after school events that keep them occupied and physically healthy.
Hmm, you should understand that insurance is a "pooling" concept. Sounds like you are young and in good health, that can change as you grow older. I was injured in the service of my country, and I became an invalid unable to exercise, so I have gained weight. If it was not for that pooling concept, I would have great difficult in affording the the health care I have, and no the VA health care is not that great, so I pay for my own also. Nothing is ever black and white.
I am in the same situation, 62 years old and retired. My health, however is not good, and I won't go into that, but maybe I should start checking my mail box for my notification to appear before the health board. I expect they will give me my options, hopefully it won't be painful. Of course, I have lived beyond my useful life span, heart surgery, dialysis, and other expensive procedures would not be allowed. My meds are not that expensive, so hopefully they would still allow me take them. It all sounds so 1984, so at least we can read the book to get a better understanding of where we are heading.
Can we get off this BC crap, it has been shown conclusively that he is a US citizen. There are far more important things to be going after Obama for.
I think things are just a little more complicated then that, wake up and do some research.
