I have a soft spot for multi-generational family sagas. Anything with lady scientists (The Signature of All Things is an all-time favorite). Fantasy with an interesting twist on the magic system (Mistborn!). I'm getting into sci-fi (hard and more traditional). It's hard to put my finger on what they make me feel. They just let me FEEL and escape and dream and see a whole world that I can't begin to imagine. That's just generally why I love reading.
I too was hoping for Queen in the North! It's always really been Jon's story, in my mind anyway, but it's a testament to the actress and some great writing that I've been rooting so hard for her of late.
Small note: Tom and Lorenzo have taught me well and I picked up on some INTERESTING costuming choices! Epaulets and fun color changes! Whew. So much to process.
So! Many! Things! Happened! last night! Holy moses. R+L=J confirmed! Cersei blowing up the joint and killing everyone! Lyanna Mormont being a tiny BAMF! King in the North! Arya and her triumphant return to Westeros and getting started on that revenge list! Danaerys is on her way back to Westeros! Tyrells and Martells allied! Where to begin!
