This " movement" needs a little bit more organization. We need some type of committee to go through our ideas, wants and needs ( listed on this site) and get started working toward making them happen. This committee should be made up of people from this site( normal everyday working class) and people with experience with lobbying, organizing political action and other political expertise. That way we would have like minded people working with experienced people to get things done. Also we need more media attention. Maybe we should have some Tea Parties in front of CBS, ABC, and NBC, and see if they cover it then.
The National Gaurd of each state is the "state militia" and controlled by the governor of that state. So we already have militia's at the local level.
I just voted, and I also voted on another interactive poll they have going on for the "first 100 days" and whether he has kept his promises and I noticed that the responses seem overwhelminly negative and yet, MSNBC, et al, continue to portray Obama as the messiah of the liberal, tree hugging age!!
Yes, but if we have really bad people in they will be allowed to stay too. We have to choose the lesser of two evils in this scenario, and that would be term limits.
I disagree, lifetime appointments for a judicial seat is bad, look how political it is now. The president gets to pick someone who agrees with his interpretation and that shares his "agenda" and then they are there for life! There should be term limits.
I like All bills being limited to 1000 words. That would provide less opportunity for them to slip something in using sneaky semantics.
I think that we should go to Washington and let them see..... The yshould understand that this isn't just some radical right wing movement against the President. The rest of our nation need to see that we are the heart of America and we are MAD AS HELL!!!
When you say " I think" that implies opinion, not fact. Fact is something tangible that can be proven. You cant prove that anyone who belives in God is delusional, so dont insult and then cover with the word "FACT". I respect your right to think that I and others are delusional, but would appreciate that you not state that as fact until you have proven scientific studies to back it up.
Well, the reason we debate endlessly is because people like you keep posting remarks that denounce the faith, or lack thereof, of others. When you constantly tell people they are delusional for their belief in God or berate people for not believing in God we end up with an unwinnable debate of ideology and personal belief that will NOT further our cause. The only outcome will be the alienation of a group of people based on religious beliefs, and this is what our country was created to prevent!!! Wake Up America!!!! Tolerate your fellow American. Just because we choose to stand side by side does not mean we share the same ideals explicitly! We are allowed to be different, the great American challenge will be to see if we can overcome those differences to achieve our common goal, which is to return our government to the constitution! Please think of that when you post, we are here for a reason and this constant debate is going to divide us! If you are here to be UNITED, then let what you say reflect that.
I agree that you cannot show tolerance to those who continue to sin. I dont believe that works get me to heaven, I have been saved by the grace of God and will be forever humbled by the grace and mercy shown to me by my Lord.
However, my point is that I can tolerate the beliefs of others in order to unite for a common goal, that being the position that we are in now in this country. our founding fathers had different religious beliefs and yet they came together and created this great country. That is what I mean by tolerance. We can debate religion another time.
And, when I said that I show others who do not share my faith the truth of my faith through my actions not my words I did not mean that I am doing good deeds for my own heavenly benefit, or working toward heaven, I meant that by letting my light so shine before men I have the opportunity to reach people who find my words on faith offensive.
