That would make the men having their penises being watched more uncomfortable than having someone who clearly appears to be a straight male. However, that case would definitely not hold up in court in at least the eleven states that cannot fire someone based off of their sexual orientation. But does that mean it would be better to have an obvious lesbian do the job over an obvious gay male? The actual case is a lot trickier. If El’Jai technically has a vagina, which I would think he does, or at least he did eighteen years ago, because he has a child, then the case could go either way. Technically, physically, he is a female, even though he appears male. But that takes me back to my original point: what is the harm as long as he appears to be male? If I were the judge, I would look at the grey area which is what the purpose of the rule stating that the employee must be a male is.

After reading this article, my first reaction is “what is the reason for the job requirement of being a male?” It is to make the men being watched peeing in a cup less uncomfortable. If a woman was watching them pee into a cup, they would feel uncomfortable. As far as they can tell, El’Jai is visibly a man, thus fulfilling the purpose of having a man for the job. It would be a different story if while the men were peeing in a cup, the employee also had to whip his penis out for the guy to see. But that is not the case. I am sure that the men peeing in the cups would be just as comfortable (or uncomfortable) with El’Jai watching them pee as they would be with any other guy watching them pee. It is not like he gets sexually aroused watching them pee in the cups, because that would be a different story. According to all of his legal documents, he is a male and has considered himself male as long as he can remember. I would think that this case would hold more validity if the person that was fired was gay, and clearly gay.

It may actually come back to bite him when someone pulls their concealed crotch gun on him the next time he's at the bank or walking to his car after his stereotypically white job. The only thing that would make him whiter would be if he was eating a mayonaise sandwich on white bread, wearing jean shorts (or jorts) while unsuccessfully trying to dance. Later, he would return home to his trailer. Although we do have many stereotypes for all the races, I'd say the white sterrotype is the hardest to define, perhaps this is because I am a part of this culutre and it is much harder to take a critical look at yourself than others. There are also many different subcultures within the white culture. I guess this guy seems to exhibit all of the typical middle class qualities. He tucks his shirts into his belted jeans, has a buzz but, and loves talking about guns, what else can I say?

Yes, this guy is VERY white. When looking at him, I first notice his buzz cut, teamed with the polo with undershirt, tucked into belted jeans. Once he starts talking, his mannerisms even further display his "whiteness". My favorite is the full hand point paired with the squinted eyes and raised eyebrows. The way he carries himself also underlines his ethnicity. He is very rigid and straight, unlike the looser stances observed among other races. The awkwardness defnietly adds to his white appearance. My favorite was his awkward pause after mentioning how people don't stare at crotches. Don't they though? I'm sure there are plenty of weirdos out there that do, but I guess they would just think he was well hung instead of packing heat. Of course the way he speaks points out his whiteness. He has the classic 'news reporter' accent that can carry itself across the nation. Also, the fact that he is making a video about a product that he bought and happens to really like seems like something a white person would dp. As far as I know, he has no investment in this product and making this video does not benefit him in any way.

It defintiely takes a certain type of male to purchase Roxxxy, but all in all, I guess its a benefit to society. After all, they can't impregnate Roxxxy so we can rest assured that they will not be passing on their genes to the next generation. 4,000 men have already purchased her, and 20,000 have inquired. That's quite a few socially impaired babies that will not be entering the world. The creator also mentioned marketing this to Japan. This is the perfect place for her. After playing their rapist video games, they can act out their fantasies on her. It saddens me that there are people like this out in the world today, but there are also much worse people out their that actually cause harm to others. Yeah, this is no way to live, but at least they aren't robbing old ladies or molesting children. I would be extremely interested to see how well the male version, Rocky, does. Certainly, there are less women out there that would buy him, but there has to be some out there. Maybe he can help out all those cat ladies out there. All in all, I find this disgusting, but harmless. If someone wants to spend seven grand on a talking sex toy, then by all means, go ahead.

So first off, my favorite part of the article is when he says, "she doesn't vacuum or cook, but she does almost everything else." So what he is saying that women only cook, vacuum, talk and have sex. Lovely. They claim its for all those shy men who are too timid to talk to women. So is this their fate? To spend the rest of their life talking to and fucking a robot? After purchasing such a thing, they defnitely cannot bring women back to their homes now. Imagine coming into a guy's apartment (or mother's basement as is most likely the case here) and seeing a robot woman dressed in lingerie. If that doesn't make a girl run for the hills, I don't know what will. But I suppose these men would be quite pleased with the situation. 7,000 seems like a lot of money, but it sure is cheaper than having a real woman in your life.

I agree that child beauty pageants take things too far. These little girls are taught at such a young age that there is no such thing as natural beauty. As soon as they can walk, their mothers slather their faces with make-up, cover their bodies with fake tan, hide their missing teeth with fake teeth and fill in their hair with clip -in extensions. They are trying to shape their little girls into the image that society has deemed beautiful for adult women. These mothers are not free, but neither is any woman guilty of putting on make-up in the morning. I know I am not free. When I look at myself in the mirror without makeup, as sad as it sounds, I feel ugly. I know I am not alone in that feeling. Society has set an unnatural standard for our women. We must have perfect skin, rosy cheeks, long, thick, dark, curled lashes, unnaturally colored eyelids, and pouty lips. It is just sad that these young girls are exposed to this sad reality at such a young age. They don't even have a chance to feel pretty in their own skin. Now, I can sort of understand pageants for older girls and women. Only under the fact that scholarships are awarded to the winner, but how is being the prettiest, best applier of makeup and hair-doer qualify someone to win money for school? There should be more inner-beauty pageants in which the judges are blind to the girls' appearances and award money based solely off of how good of a person they are. I myself am guilty of being in a pageant, mostly encouraged by my mother. When going through my outfits, she made sure to buy me falsies to make my breasts larger. This was a TEEN pageant. I thought it was ridiculous, until I got to the pageant itself. Almost every girls there was using chicken cutlets to enhance their bust lines, and the ones who weren't had already received implants. I remember getting ready for the swimsuit portion and spraying leg makeup up and down my legs and thinking to myself how ridiculous the whole thing was, until I was placed as one of the finalists. The judges bought my fake boobs and leg makeup, eating it all up! Had I gone out there as the same person, just without the boobs and makeup and teased hair, they would have cast me aside as if I was nothing. Our society has set impossible standards for young women. Very few of us are free from these strings that are perpetuated by our media.

My initial reaction to this video was to laugh. I found the last part especially humorous when they changed their positions several times. The target changed positions almost immediately, almost completely in sync with the actors. This video is a perfect, physical example of society's 'invisible strings'. Those men, having stood in elevators facing front for years, suddenly changed positions when others around them also did so. It is human nature to learn by observation. Another perfect example lies within our own campus. Look around at all of the girls. What do the majority of them wear? Long northface puffy coats, leggings, and uggs. I often find myself receiving these girls stares as I walk around campus wearing what I like. It is as if their stares say, 'who are you to go against the norm? Don't you know what you are supposed to wear?'. It is no wonder that the majority of these girls that dress this way are in sororities. I remember dating a guy in a frat my freshman year and standing on his frat house balcony during an outdoor party. Small flocks of sorority girls would arrive, rarely leaving each other's side, but when they did, you could still pick out who belonged with whom. Each group of girls were dressed the same, whether it was sundresses and pumps or leggings, big sweaters and big bags, they all dressed like their group. I also remember being in high school during the hair color shift of 05'. The school year started out with the females being predominately blond. However, as the year went on, hair color slowly faded to brown. It was as if every day there was a new convert. Society's invisible strings are very powerful. It is as if humans are powerless to the pull of trends surrounding them. I suppose it comes from the innate desire to fit in. Most people are trained from a young age to follow the herd. Its the only thing that can explain the powerful yet stupid trends of leg warmers, furbys, and mullets, just to name a few.

Upon watching the video, I am saddened and disgusted. How could anyone play this game and not be sick? But then I think, how many times have I beat up hookers, stole cars, and shot up civilians while playing Grand Theft Auto? Am I sick for enjoying that game? I think that somehow there is a difference between the games and the crimes they simulate. I feel that it is somewhat normal to enjoy steeling a car and running down pedestrians in a fantasy world. The people who play this game are, for the most part, healthy people. To want to play a game that simulates raping young girls and women is sick. It brings sexuality into the picture, which is a very powerful thing. You don't get a sexual rush out of killing mobsters or blowing up gas stations. Well, most people don't and if you do, chances are you are sick. Although mass murder is considered to be worse than rape in our justice system, simulating rape is far worse. Bringing in the sexual aspect creates an even stronger addiction to the game. I don not believe that this is an outlet for rapists to act out on their impulses, I think it is creating more rapists. The people playing this game will start to crave the rush it provides them, and soon the game won't be enough. It allows them to 'practice' their rapist skills, as sick as that sounds.

However, seeing that this comes form Japan does not surprise me in the least bit, considering you can buy school girls' used underwear in vending machines. There is even a game show where contestants 'guess the virgin'. There are three girls, only one of which is a virgin. At the end of the show, she loses her virginity. I hate to say it, but Japan is clearly a very strongly sexual country that gets its jollies out of exploiting young girls. I'd much rather be a part of a country where our main vending machine customers are fatties feeding their addiction for food and soda, not sickos feeding their addiction for school girl panties.
