The last 3 flights I booked with Alaska ALL had technical problems. The final one of them had supposed air pressure problems and we were forced to land early at LAX, wait for 3 hours, and then board the plane again after being given a bogus reason for the technical problem (there was an engineer on board who told us that the reason Alaska gave was false.).
After the last incident I decided that Alaska puts profit before their customers and that their planes simply were not safe. If Alaska chooses to overwork their planes and treat their customers like crap, so be it. You reap what you sow. I will never board another Alaska Airlines flight again. By far the worst airline I have EVER flown and I fly often.

And speaking of keeping an eye on children at all times, some of the self-righteous posters on here have posted so often that I have to wonder what their own children are doing while they sit on their computer all day and night and type their responses.
Children differ wildly in maturity levels and some children are perfectly fine doing certain things while others are not. Making a blanket statement that all children should always be kept out of cars at all times is as silly as saying that all children should be kept away from sinks, stoves, hot ovens etc. at all times. Where does it stop? Should we keep all children under the age of 18 from bicycles too lest one falls on them? How about books, just in case they get a paper cut? And movie screens may strain their poor widdle eyes, so it's best to stay away from movie theatres too. And don't even get me started on coffee -- a trip to Peet's may scald them for life. Perhaps wrapping them up in cotton wool for life will keep them free from all harm forever.
This story stated that "turning the key in the driver side door will automatically shut all the windows, even when the engine is turned off." This is a most silly design feature and SHOULD be changed. When I lock my BMW I expect to do just that -- lock my BMW. NOT close my windows. NOT close my sunroof. We call this a design flaw REGARDLESS of the story above. Here in Europe this is not a problem and hopefully will be remedied in the U.S.
