Michael Hyatt Blog : Book Notes: Derailed by Tim Irwin

Michael, I am woefully behind in all my reading. By the time I get to this book, I probably will have De-Railed at least once. I NEED this book. No seriously, I am familiar with Tom Irwin and have taken the assessment. Moderate Risk in all areas! I mentor other leaders for the church and in business - this is a huge area of concern and prayer for me. We can say to young leaders in the church be "more like Jesus" or to business leaders "don't make these mistakes." Dr. Irwin takes these out of the realm of platitudes and puts them into feet on the street actions. I want to hawk this book everywhere I go - between Lencioni's stuff and Dr. Irwin, we can change a whole generation. Help me, help you! - Larry

Because of this clear and yet open view of the what & why of Christian writing, I am drawn to the authors and books published by Thomas Nelson - keep up the great work. I am preparing a sermon on Phil 4:8 and will point people to this blog - K?

Michael Hyatt Blog : The Momentum Theorem

I have always enjoyed how Dave can put things that we all know into some real mind awakening, heart pumping words. As I think of the many of us who are seeking to build churches that will most likely NEVER become WIllow Creek or North Point yet by grace we faithfully do what the Lord has placed in front of us, His blessing will build Kingdom momentum. (Luke 9:62). Praise God for all the Tortoises!
