Progressive like to think that people like me are from a bygone era. They think that to be progressive is to grow within and is the only way for justice to prevail. But justice for who? I haven't seen one "progressive program" that provides equally across the spectrum. You can't take from the well to do's and give to the n'er do wells without creating more n'er do wells. Which is what , I believe, is the actual goal of progressives. They are trying to build a society where they are the well to do's and the governed all become n'er do wells. They will use the arguement that they can make you a well to do by turning the well to do's into n'er do wells.When you become a well to do they will take from you to give to other n'er do wells. This is a self-fullfilling failure. Can't you see it? They WILL be the only well to do's
I think most honest liberals are mistaking Conservatives for Republicans. I'm a Conservative and don't want or need the governments help in anything I do. I am in an uncomfortable financial situation of my own making so I will bail myself out by hard work and hard choices. Which is something that these bail out nimrods would'nt understand. So yes I'm off when someone like you wants to take my hard earned money and give it to someone who's not willing to take responsibility for their own actions and make the tough choices.
You kind of missed the point. I do get offended when I'm referred to as caucasion.. I'm not from Caucasia or the Caucus Mtns. It is a big deal. Any hyphonated term for ancestry is by it's very nature racist unless you are actually from the place in pre-hyphon. And the "Indians" here are not from a place called Native. We are all just Americans. It seems that only hyphonated people have lobbyists in DC. My wife agrees and she's is Tuscarora, Cherokee and Crow but she referred to as caucasian because she's part German. I'm American of Irish ancestry but I'm not Irish-American
You're called Native Americans because you were here when we showed up. Your people are not native to this land. No one is your ancestors came from one direction and mine another. Thats what makes this land so special. We all went different directions to get here and along the way we picked up the best we could find and brought it with us. Unfortunately we also brought the worst we could find..
and It's abhorant. With all of the technology should'nt we be able to streamline the process so they don't have to come illegally. It takes longer to immigrate to America than any other country in the world. Yes we need their labor but not at the expense of their safety and dignity. The liberal mindset is killing these people. We need to stop illegal aliens and make it so they can come here legally.
I'm Irish so lets talk about the war there. It was about power and control. Great Britain wanted to control all of Ireland and the peolple were having none of it. Neither are the wars in Israel. It's still about power and control, bigotry and fear. If no one would attack anybody then there would'nt be war. Ans as for the border, THATS THEIR JOB, I'm a trucker, if I'm not willing to leave my family to go deliver your goods then I'd better find a new line of work. We're welcoming to ones who will let us know they're here. Thats all we want. We are the only Nation on Earth that looks the other way while these poor people are being taken advantage of. We were responding to the fact that Sadam Hussein had Al Queda training camps including one with a Boeing 747 used to train the terroists from 9/11. You Libs tend to forget all this stuff and only remember selectively what you need to hurt this country. It's the same mentality that called the Korean War a police action. Iraq was funding Al Queda or did you forget that too. Hell America funded Al Queda during the Russian occupation. I'm willing to admit that we probably could have handled it better. But all Sadam had to do was let the inspectors in, like we do here, and every other nuclear nation, except Iran and Korea, does.
We didn't start that one. You liberals like to think we did but since we're not fighting Iraqi's. You would like to believe we found no weapons of mass destruction there , then where did all the saren gas bombs come from or the anthrax we found. And how about all the mustard gas there. We did not find Nukes but we found Chemical and biologics there. We're fighting Al queda insurgents which means the Afghan war just found a new home in Iraq. The U.N. which you Libs seem to love and revere were all for us going there until they found out we were really going to do it.
You may be correct on this loose point. But NO war ever has been fought because of religion. Those wars are about racism, greed and fear. America, as a nation, has NEVER started a war. But we've finished a few. America has been and always will be about welcoming people to come play in our sandbox. But don't you dare try to take our playground away from us. We have to become a society that plays by our rules if we can or by their rules if we must. But to all the socialist nations in the world I say this. Be very careful of what you wish for, because you might just get it.
