I had the same thought. I'm glad the bystander got involved. I'm not sure I would have been able to resist violence to those evil kids.

Not a smoker, but most smokers I know are not jerks. They're usually concerned that the smoke is bothering me. I once was walking behind a man who stepped off to the side and told me he didn't want the smoke bothering me (it was) so I thanked him.

I was surprised, too. I think on my corner there are nine who regularly come out to smoke. We get all our socializing in while they're smoking. heh
