I don't follow this as closely as you-all, but because of your post I went back to read Brendain's posts...and I can't find any! Could this be the clue you were waiting for?

Oneman has a great attitude. Here's another way to look at it: each of us bloggers (and contest entrants) has access to electricity and a computer. Do you realize how lucky we are, just based on that fact alone? If we were living in, say Haiti, we'd already be extremely rich. So although you might consider yourself unlucky if you don't win the house, you are very lucky indeed!

My guesstimate is that about a million different people entered the contest. A million people sharing the same dream! That's kinda cool. I wish there was some way we could harness that energy to DO something cool! I am looking forward to hearing the winner's story...

Because I adore the whole house, I'll mention instead a design feature I love, rather than a room. The feature I love is that the foyer is an interesting nexus--it separates private from public space, but at the same time it blurs the line between indoor and outdoor space. A single place that can separate AND meld together? Pretty cool!

All the rooms of this house are beautifully stylish, so I'd like to focus on the whole-house design. I love the way the entry divides the house into a "public" space and a "private" space. But the same entry blurs the line between "interior " and exterior" space. I love both of these ideas--that there is a public and a private space, AND that there is little separation between interior and exterior. This house has captivated me--so much so that I have literally been job-hunting in the area and looking for running groups to join. Not only is this a dream home, it has been a wonderful dream to imagine owning it. These pleasant dreams have gotten me through a tough winter; I've had many relaxing moments enjoying all the pics and posts about this house. Thanks for the bright spots in my days!
