Daily Camera.com: : Centaurus engineering students build, test cardboard boats - Boulder Daily Camera

I wonder if the students would have been allowed to use a sealer, similar to the TV ad product that seals gutters and they were able to waterproof a small pickup. Looks like a fun project for the teens and they learned about teamwork also!

So now I know why the vegetarian green chili they serve at Lucky's Cafe tastes like bean and lentil soup. Wish their vegetarian green chili was just green chili without the meat. Garlic, onions, and green chili should be what they serve. there.

Too bad Jim Tyler is dead. He had all the good ideas for the Farmer's Market. It's overpriced and too crowded now.

I do not have a choice in this matter. The city council has decided to take over energy, with no input from me the taxpayer. I remember when the city of boulder took over the water utility. Now I pay four times what the water used to cost. The city will have to duplicate, and try to hire competent employees and rebuild the power grid. It's not encouraging to see the city take over without citizen input.

I was not asking about Bush, but it's apparent that you hate him. I did not like him also. Guess your jaywalking comment means that you don't think that the Benghazi cover up has any meaning. Put on blinders Comp, because you think obama can do No wrong.

Republican/Democrat system doesn't offer any alternatives, except to let American Citizens beat each other up. We need to move beyond this argument and find solutions. I'm ready to support a candidate who doesn't subscribe to either party. This would be a candidate who doesn't bow down to the media and the popular opinion.

I haven't seen any churches line up to pay their share of property tax. It would only be fair that they should earn their exemption by providing housing on their large, tax-free properties. Camping would be determined by neighbors of the churches. BTW thanks for your thoughtful input Blunderdome.

Nice to hear that the synagogue let the homeless camp on their property. I'm thinking of the mega churches that take up large lots of land east of town. They have enough property to build apartments to house some of the homeless who might help with upkeep, etc.

There are a number of huge churches in the area that pay no property tax. Let them provide affordable housing or pay their rightful share of property tax.

After having to grow up in eastern Colorado, I had dreamed of living right here all my life. There were tradeoffs that were made in order to secure a home here. My choice to live here in Boulder has not come easily. This was always a more valuable place to live since before the Great Depression. Housing values in Boulder just level out, and don't go down. Affordable housing in such a market never stays that way.

Interesting how easily the woman was described as a 'white' female. With a mask how is the race so easily determined? Why is the perp described as a 'white female', when most other crimes in boulder do not list the color of the perp? Hate email will come my way for asking these questions.
