I thought the issue with Courier, ultimately, would have been a hardware one in terms of battery life vs 2 screens. But the libretto looks like it is almost exactly the courier form factor! Wow. So really what was the problem? I love the UI and I'm frustrated that MS didn't bust it out for this. And while I understand why some people want Win & on a tablet that's not really what I myself need, I need something lightweight and light on its feet which every Win tablet I've had most certainly is not. The fact that MS seems to insist upon shoehorning a full OS onto things which don't always need them is extremely troubling to me and undoes a lot of the good ("They are getting it finally!") stuff I see in WP7.

Howdy, I know this blog post is a little old, but your tutorial is very high on the google search results! I hope you still read the comments/questions. I, like the above other user, am trying to use TAGS instead of photosets. Your response & example response all link back to this post. I know i have to alter the "photosets.getPhotos" and "photoset_id" in the script, but i cannot find any example of what to change http://api.flickr.com/services/rest/?&method=... + apiKey + '&photoset_id=

Sinceramente... parecem um bando de criancinhas chorando por uma chupeta nova. O iPhone, iPod e o iPad, assim como todos os outros produtos são simplesmente isso... produtos! Já tem uns 10 posts dizendo que com a tal imagem de fundo faz o aparelho ficar lento e mesmo assim ficam reclamando. Sério, por que ao invés de ficar reclamando de besteiras não vão lá e fazem o seu próprio smartphone, coloquem tudo o que querem de forma que rode perfeitamente sem nenhum problema e jogam na cara do titio Steve? Cansa essa historia toda!

Uma coisa que não entendo e gostaria que alguém se dispusesse a explicar. Flash versus Html5... coisa estranha essa. Até onde sei html5 é uma linguagem de marcação baseada em tags que possibilita inserir multimídia diretamente sem os "devidos" plugins. Até onde sei o flash não briga com o html5... ele briga com as novas tecnologias que o html5 proporciona ou proporcionará na web. O que eu gostaria de entender qual é a nova tecnologia que realmente disputará com o flash. Será apenas o javascript? A adobe já diz que lancará um sistema que será todo baseado no indesign cs5 para se criar midias iguais ao da Wired. É isso? Se for... há outros?

I have the same issue as above, although I copied yr source almost exactly. Although changing the background to 'no-repeat' is easy enough (in var imgCont), I'm still left with small photos, rather than large ones, like in the sample. you can see what I mean athttp://nationalheadquarters.org/c-list-pics/flcik... also, it is worth noting that I am posting this comment as Kyle Rush hisself, as did the person above! Is the a mediatemple problem?

Hi Gary. Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. The parentElement must've slipped by me when I was documenting the options. I'll get that documented on the usage page when I get the chance. i don't see why not. jparse is built so that it can easily parse xml nodes with namespaces. so if you want to pull the username, the elementTag option for jParse would look like this: elementTag: ['ns3:userName'] see the jparse usage page for more.

thanks bill. to my knowledge it isn't really possible to not expose your api key with javascript. if that is a concern of yours then you may have to do some of the work on the server side to hide your key.

@barney i'm pretty firm in my belief that the correct answer here is what works best for the user. if virtualbox works well for you, then you should go with that. i prefer a separate machine to virtualization software for several reasons, but i would hardly call testing on separate machines "a waste of time, power and computing resources."

thank you @shen. an option to differentiate between nodes with the same name will be coming in the next feature release--hopefully this weekend. the plugin is still in beta, so there are a good amount of features that are still being worked on.
