/Film : Marketing Up\'s Asian-American Lead Character

I think Pixar see him as just a character. There's no need to point out his ethnicity.

Is it just me, or is everyone involved in making TDK that we've heard from just a cool person in general?

/Film : Free Monty Python Videos on Youtube Lead to 23,000% DVD Sale Increase

It's quite logical, when you think about it ... the YouTube videos, while there are many, are a taster. Even if many clips from an episode or a TV show are uploaded, you can't get the whole thing in its original form. It's true that the sketch show nature of Monty Python helps, but I think we can apply this thinking to a lot more stuff. Once you've had a taste and you like it, you want more. Besides, DVDs will have lots of extras and such, which people can't get on the YouTube channel. As an example (though in a different industry), I downloaded Radiohead's In Rainbows when it was made available on the Internet - I didn't pay for it. But after I listened to it, I loved it so much that I went out and bought a bunch of Radiohead CDs. Go figure.

/Film : Curious Open Casting Call for The Last Airbender

First of all, let's stop blaming Shyamalan. It's not like he has any cred in the movie business anymore, do you really think he's making these casting decisions? Also, screw whoever is making these decisions. Screw you also, Paramount. Screw you.

/Film : Download These NOW: iTunes Offering 10 Free Sundance Short Films Until January 25

There are a lot of people complaining that you need a US iTunes account to get these , which isn't true, but it is country restricted to some extent. However, it's trivial to get a US iTunes store account for free: http://forums.mactalk.com.au/20/45826-how-get-us-...

Once again, the /Film comments board overreacts ... Personally, I think this is why Hugh Jackman is awesome. Who else would respond to this news like that? Let's not judge the film until we see it, though.
