Our country was founded on our love and charity for our fellow citizen, yet the government seems to have robbed the good nature from people and claimed it for it's own. We could significantly improve the situation in our government if we got rid of public welfare and allowed charities to occupy the spot that they once served in small communities around the country.

Instead of donating the citizen's dollars to welfare and people not deserving of public assistance, allow me to keep those funds to donate to a worthy charity of my own beliefs that helps citizens who are in true despair and not looking for a handout from the nearest public servant just looking for a vote.

Our country is truly great when it's citizens give freely of themselves without pressure from the taxman to give it up for them. Let society care for itself and let government do what it's supposed to do....protect its own citizens from oppressive government.
