I don't really recall in my post that I go and brag to my friends but if that's the assumption you want to make, then ok. My point is that skiing out of bounds shouldn't be illegal. And yes if a skier does ski out of bounds and needs the aid of search and rescue then they should of course cough up the bill for it. I know that is the case if you go out of bounds in Idaho. They post warning signs that if you go ski in unpatrolled areas you are doing so at your own risk. I understand the risks that are involved with this sport and gladly accept them because skiing untracked poweder in the back country is worth it.

Lame. We should be allowed to ski out of bounds with out having our passes clipped or fined. If we do run into trouble out of bounds and need the assistance of S&R or ski patrol then sure fine us and what not. But if we're not hurting anything then don't slap us with obscure fines.

I heard a scary statistic from a bed bug seminar...over 50% of all moving vans (i.e. U haul) have bedbugs. If you are traveling, do a thorough check of your bed and surrounding area and when you get home immediately throw all of your clothes in the dryer on medium heat for 30 min. From what I understand 130 degrees or higher kills the little pests.
