Good for you! I can't be doing with people telling me what is and isn't appropriate for my age - if I want something, I'll get it. I get the same comments - if one more person saying 'yes, it does all those things, but can you make phone calls?' I will explode. That joke was funny for thirty seconds in 1992. It is over now.

I only object if it's done for sexist reasons. If taking the name / being given away is important to you for other reasons, that's obviously fine! When it's something that even comes into the equation, I don't have any problem at all (not that it would matter if I did). I only meant that I personally might not choose some of these things, but that's me.

There was also the time I had to leave the lesson for a tutorial, so he and I cooked up an argument that saw me telling him there was no point learning all this rubbish, and I was bloody well leaving. Fooled quite a few people, that one.

I did consider magic tricks, but I'm not sure I have an hour's worth...Maybe I could try to repopulate the square with pigeons by producing one every minute. Advertising space on clothes is inspired. Or maybe I could pick some random bakery in Hertfordshire, spend an hour promoting them, and see if they notice.
