Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/22/09: More Name-Calling From The Left as NH Leader Calls Tax Protesters "Unhinged Mob"

Why is it that they cannot deal with this in an honest, forthright way? Why do they have to deal with us by bashing us, instead just acknowledging the dissatisfaction for what it is? We need to replace every single one of the people that cannot deal us, their bosses, honestly.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/20/09: It Was Close, But Mark Levin's Book, Beats Chavez Pick, BARELY

I just tried to check this book out from the library. I am number 88 on the waiting list. They currently only have 5 copies, but they are ordering 16 more copies. Must be a great book, can't wait to read it. Unfortunately, even with the new books on order it will be 3 or 4 months before I get my crack.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Goodbye Columbus (Day)

I really do not see what the deal is with not having a Columbus day. What he did opened the world to Western Culture. Now I know I am going to take a lot of flack for this, but that is my opinion. I don’t condone what was done in the name of spread Christianity. I do not agree with how the American Government has handled those who were here before us. Can we really blame Columbus. Look at the world that he lived in. The Spanish Inquisition was going on. They had no idea about human rights. Blaming Christopher Columbus for what happen 300 years after he set sail is like blaming Newton when something falls on your head due to gravity. Do I agree with how Columbus and those who followed him treated the Native Americans? No. But he did not have the benefit of the ideas of human rights and equality. We cannot judge ALL of the actions of those who went before us by our own standards. They did not have the exact same standards.

This is not a bad thing. This is what happens when we try to solve our problems locally. This type of thing has been done repeatedly in American history. This is just a symptom of a much bigger problem. The problem is that the government is trying to control business. If we get the government out of business, let the economy reset itself, this all goes away.

The big problem that we have to worry about is if the government tries to stop this from happening. Then we are in for real trouble. Then they are trying to control the economy on all levels. Then we get a socialist/fascist state. Then we have bread lines and rationing, and everything else that goes along with that sort of government.

No, this is not illegal. If it was illegal the government would have tried to stop it in the past, they never did that. The US dollar is the only nationally recognized currency. As long as this stays at the local level there is nothing illegal about this. If it goes multi-state then it becomes illegal, because then it is trying to replace the dollar. States are completely within their rights to have a currency that can be used along side the dollar, as long as it does not cross state line. This is only a move to stimulate local economy. It is a symptom of the larger problem. The real problem is the government getting involved in business. Get the government out of business, let the economy recover on its own, and this all goes away.

The real problem comes if the federal government takes steps to make this illegal. Because then they are trying to control the economy at all levels. Then we have a socialist/fascist state. Then we have bread line, and rationing, and everything else that goes with that form of government.

This is not a currency to replace the legal currency of the US. There is nothing illegal about this. It has been done over and over again throughout the history of the US. Everyone still has to accept US currency at these businesses. They are not trying to replace the dollar. They are trying to stimulate their economies. It only becomes illegal if they stop accepting US currency as legal tender and only accept the scrip. That is what the Confederacy did. They no longer accepted US dollars, they only accepted Confederate dollars.

THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT IS BAD. IT IS GOOD. This is how a problem is solved locally. Check your history, local communities have been doing this throughout the history of the US. It was done in the 1830’s and 1840’s, it was done during the Great Depression. Whenever the national economy goes bad local economies have to do something to keep themselves alive. This is just a symptom of the big problem. It’s like when you have bronchitis. Some of the symptoms are a fever and a cough. If you just treat the fever and the cough you will never get better. You have to get in and treat the infection in the lungs. Leave the local currency alone, it’s just a symptom. Treat the real problem. Get the government out of trying to run business.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : The Secretary of Defense Wants To Overhaul Weapons Spending, Congress Freaks

I was not clear as to the details of what I was saying. I'm not talking about using the military to police our streets. Nor do I think it is wise to simply abandon our allies. But we have too many troops overseas. What I was thinking of was turning large sections of the area along the border into military bases. The major roads and highways are still in the jurisdiction of the Border Patrol and local law enforcement. However, the less easily patrolled areas could be turned into military bases. Illegals would be trespassing on US Military property. The politicians do not seem to care if illegals are trespassing on our soil, but the military cares when it is their base.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : In Prague, President Obama pledges to pursue the elimination of nuclear weapons

There has been a lot of talk wit hthese posts concerning Reagan and his arms-reduction talks. I don't want to call Reagan's policies into question. This is a slightly different issue. With Reagan everyone understood where he stood and they agreed, and so did Russia, that the arms-race was a no-win situation. Obama is an unknown, and we all fear what we don't understand. I don't think that Obama will completely disarm our military of all nuclear weapons. But I could be wrong. I don't know enough about the man, he never lets anyone see who he truly is. Iran and North Korea are not Russia either. I don't think that you can successfully negotiate with either country. Their leaders are extremists. Extremists cannot be bargained with, they don't want to bargain. I also do not believe that Iran and North Korea are acting alone. Russia has too much to gain with a destabilization or elimination of the US as a world power.

R & D spending is always a risky business. If these projects are turning out to be dead ends, then someone needs to pull the plug. I agree that we need a good defense budget. But, we all know that the defense budget has massive amounts of waste in it. My ex-wife's brother was given a shotgun and was told it cost $4,000. That exact same gun could be purchased from a sporting goods store for 1/4 of that price. We need to reduce the overseas bases. Isn't one of the jobs of the military to protect our borders. Why don't we take all the oversea bases and move them stateside along the borders? That way the military budget can be reduced and our borders will be adequately patrolled.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Missouri Congressman Wants Illegals Counted In The Upcoming Census

The current administration is using this as a way to stay in power. I have never been in favor of one party over another. I try to vote for the candidate that will best represent my core values. But the Democrats that are currently in power are trying to stay there. They know that if they give these illegals work permits then they are one step closer to being registered voters. Hispanics have historically voted Democrat. They are just trying to get more votes down the road, by tipping the scales illegally. It’s time that we demanded term limits. It’s time that we try for recall, for impeachments. Get these bums out of Washington. Only allow these people in office for 2 terms, even if they are doing a good job.

1)2 Term limit - freeze personal assets of executive and legislative branches. They have to live on the salary they get while in office. Limit size of personal staff. No benefits for life. Unable to vote their own raise. 2)Bills can only be on one item, no pork, no piggybacking. 75% consensus to pass legislation. 3)Shorten the election process. Cap campaign spending. Do away with electoral college. 4)Severly limit lobbying. No campaign donations, no gifts. No lobbyist allowed in any government postion. 5)Privatize the Post Office. Should not be allowed to have a monopoly. 6)No federal reserve. Gold standard only. 7)Stop illegal immigration, enforce current immigration legislation, legal immigration easier. One national language. 8)Balanced budget. 9)Better funding for public schools. Public schools used to work. Government officials cut funding. Our children are more ignorant that we were. We must have the best education for our children. We need better, realistic, standards. Remove the teacher's union. 10)Severly limit size and power of labor unions..

It was the lobbying of others that created the need for the NRA.

I am rethinking my position. There are many good causes that need to be championed. I do think that we need to severely limit the power and money that special interest groups are allowed to wield. No contributions to campaigns, no special favors. The only thing that the budget of a special interest should do is pay for the lobbyists time. Limit access to legislators. Lobbyists are not allowed into government positions.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Homeland Security Bolsters Security Forces On The Southern Border, But Still No Fence

Parts of the fence aren't even a fence. My brother-in-law worked on a section south of Tucson before the old president left office. This section lies on the Indian reservation, which straddles the border. The tribal members are allowed access to both sides of the border on the reservation without any Border Patrol checks. This is to ensure that the treaty is not violated. Every so many feet a gap was installed. This gap was not wide enough to allow large vehicles to pass, but was large enough for ATV’s to go through.

I believe that I need to amend my earlier statement about lobbyists and special interests. I was a bit hasty with my comment, and did not completely think out my idea. We need to severly limit the power and the influence of these people. I thought about it more, and there are plenty of good ideas and projects that need to be brought to the attention of lawmakers. However we need to insure that special interests do not have any more access to Congress and the President than the average citizen does.

This video is absolutely perfect. They don't teach this anymore. We need to stand up, and return to the original constitution. We need term limits. We need to stop lobbyists, and pork barrel politics. The oligarchy is already in place. If you don't think so, research the Bilderberg group. Especially their ties with the Clinton's and Obama, as well as most of the rest of Congress. They are quickly taking over. Hopefully we still have time to take it back.
