Thank you for your reply. Now I understand tether better :)

I tried to restore to original state then jailbreak again followed by boot tether. Now the Cydia appear and works just fine. Probably it was because I did restore my data from 3GS IOS 5.1.1 that cause the problem before :)

Hi, I have some questions regarding iphone 4 jailbreak iOS 6.0.1. I just got it a few days ago and it already on iOS 6.0. Using tinyumbrella, I only got SHSH until 4.3.5, so I'm not eligible to downgrade to 5.1.1 for untethered jailbreak.

So, I upgraded to iOS 6.0.1 and tried to jailbreak using redsn0w. the jailbreak process seems run perfectly but, when I boot tether, there is no Cydia installed.

My questions are:
1. How do I know if the iphone is successfully jailbroken since there is no Cydia installed?
2. Tether boot means that if the jailbreak process is successful, I can't turn on the iphone alone without the help from PC to boot tether, right? Because I still can turn off and turn on my iphone without PC.
3. Is there something I can do to check whether or not the iphone is successfully jailbroken?

Thank you in advance.

I have a problem with my friend ipod 4G running iOS 4.2.1. All icons are white except for stock app. I tried to reboot with no luck. I tried to connect to cydia and has error unable to load the certificate for this server is invalid.

Is it possible to re-jailbreak with the same iOS in order to re-install cydia?

Thank you in advance for your kind attention and support.

Thank you for your reply. Will try it as your suggestion and hopefully it solve the problem :)

Update:
After restoring with Official Apple firmware, now the BB is 05.16.05. I set up as a new phone and no back up being restore. After activate the phone, I tried to install Sygic and Garmin. I still have the same condition as before. I can't get the GPS to work on both application.

Can anyone have more idea how to fix the GPS problem I'm having?

Thank you in advance.

Hi all,

I need some helps here. I'm using 3GS and was on BB06.15 for quite sometime. Then the dev-team release the 06.15 BB downgrade to 05.13.04 and I did the downgrade process.

After downgrading, the GPS worked fine like it suppose to. Then AT&T start unlocking eligible iphone 3GS. So I asked my sister who live in the US and has AT&T account to unlocked my phone. After I got the email from AT&T that I tried to unlocked my phone by deactivating the phone using redsn0w and re-activate the phone, I got message on iTunes that my phone is successfully unlocked.

However, after that unlocked, my GPS starts acting weird. The Location service is on. When I use Sygic and on 3G connection for navigation, it says that the GPS is not accurate and can't be used for navigation. When I use Garmin and 3G connection, it always on Acquiring Satellites status and never get my location on the map. The native google map also is way too far from my actual location. When I first downgrade the BB to 05.13.04, everything works just fine. I can use my Sygic for navigation on 3G and wi-fi.

Why does the unlock process made the GPS not working? I tried to de-activate using redsn0w and re-activate using AT7T sim card, and using SAM to revert to lockdown, clear my network status and still the GPS doesn't work correctly.

Can someone help me how to fix the GPS?

Thank you in advance for your kind attention and support.

That's because while jb, you actually hactivate your iphone. after jb, add binger repo and and SAM and SAMperf. Use redsn0w to deactivate the iphone (tick only deactivate while running redsn0w) or you can use SAM to deactivate the phone. Then revert to lockdown to clear the push notification. Your phone should be in FactoryActivated state. While turning on SAM, connect to itunes to activate the phone. If you get the WildCardActivated it means that the phone is successfully activated. Then you can install ultrasn0w to unlock.

Hope that helps :)

Yes you can activate with expired official SIM. I did that on my 3GS old bootrom and the phone is activated.
