What is Mytho, anyway? Is he in a tabula rasa-like state where he has no feelings or emotions? Is that why he doesn't know if he likes books and doesn't seem to care about anything?

Well, he does try to be his best.

Are we listing off Buffy's boyfriends then because

I nominate Owen as Capt. Poetry

and Scott Hope as Capt. Homecoming

and though Ben doesn't count, I still want to nominate him as Capt. Scrubs, or possibly Admiral Glory.

About Cordy... pretty much the first thing she says is "is this some sophomore hazing ritual?" so I think Joss was going for the pre-Buffy Summers Cordelia Chase, the one who didn't know about vampires and creepy stuff. Which I get in theory, but ultimately, I think it would have been much cooler to see circa early-season 2 Cordy in this situation being all "vampires, whatever, I am so over parent-teacher night already" and rolling her eyes at Wes and Gunn's vampire dramatics. ("I know this girl, and she beats these things up, like, every night, so just calm down already!")

Guys, Angel saw shiny, screaming demons.

SHINY DEMONS.

THAT SCREAMED.

Take a moment to think about the absurdity of that.

The way the security guards treat Fred seems to imply that Lorne calling in one of the Lornettes is a thing that happens occasionally, but Lorne doesn't seem the type of guy to exploit somebody like that, so I dunno.

I like to think that Lorne, being the empathetic and awesome demon that he is, occasionally invites the Lornettes into his suite where they talk about her problems and Lorne dispenses some great advice. And then they drink and do a sing-a-long.

You know, if you have the DVDs handy, the commentary by Andy Hallett and David fury actually addresses a lot of your issues with the episode. It's also mostly spoiler-free, and the spoilers they do drop are mild.

I didn't even have to cipher that.
