I'm a major PvE'r myself, and I've been waiting patiently for exactly these types of posts. Thanks Xzilend! I don't know if you have all of these posts done already or not, but I'd love to be used as an example to become better. Here are all the parses from my guild: http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/110611/ I'm Feariously ;)

Fel Fire : Epic Tremor Totem Nerf, ISF change and More...

What? He's referring to the inability to refresh the buff before it fades. In other words, you cannot cast SF and have it refresh the buff @ 6, 9, or 12 seconds left on the buff.

It's also only usable via Destruction now as well, right? Making it Tier 3 means only one role can hit it. Which is rather odd, to me. Since Demo uses more shadow damage that Fire. ~le-sigh~

Fel Fire : Patch 4.0.6 Lock Patch Notes

The day I came to the realization that ISF was a required talent regardless of spec, my mouth dropped. I can understand Destruction, or even Demonology needing/wanting this, but as an affliction Warlock, this doesn't make any sense at all to me. As if we don't have enough on our plates with 3 dots, 2 nukes, and a curse, we now have to watch for a buff, and time it's cast perfectly to maintain a required 15% casting haste (not even an overall haste, this only affects your casting bar). There are many other things that frustrate me about the class, but I'll keep playing. Just as I have since vanilla. I just really wish that Blizzard would also maintain a consistent and lucid vision about what they want us to be.

Fel Fire : 12942 Patch Notes

The nerfs to Demo and Affliction really make me sad, since those two specs are the reason I play a Warlock. Nothing in the game is as unique. The Destruction changes look fantastic! However, right now, all I play on Beta is Destruction... Neither Affliction or Demonology has the survivability or DPS to do much of anything in any PVP situation where you're jumped, and the current pet bugs with Demonology is enough to make me rage! Now, I'm not saying that Affliction or Demonology is crap DPS, because I'm sure in a patchwork environment they are doing quite well. But in PVP, where you're jumped, usually unprepared, you don't have the control nor the DPS to really fight back. I've not had much PVP experience on Beta yet, because the fights last mere seconds ... But it seems that where Warlocks are being 'fixed' with the new ability's they are given, all the other classes are becoming power houses with theirs. But as stated above, the Shadow Ward change is fucking exciting!

Be sure to turn off auto cast... Or they will do it w/o being near a mob - super enjoyable!

So I've gotten to play a few hours on Beta, and so far I really like Affliction. Demonology is so-so, and Destruction is fantastic. With Soul Swap, you really feel like a master of DoT's. Unfortunately, it doesn't do very much burst damage, so often times you have to finish the mob off with a shadow bolt or drain life because your pets do such weak damage overall. I'd much rather Soul Swap was a debuff we could cast on an NPC before it's death, and once they die, it buffs you. That would help with farming/questing/leveling a lot!

I've not yet had a chance to play with the new abilitys on Beta because the damn servers keep resetting every 20 minutes it feels like. But one thing is for sure: The new Felguard kicks some serious arse!!!

Green fire is a big deal to me as well... However, this is their current implementation of Fel Flame: http://yfrog.com/0jwowscrnshot071610150258j Makes me rage, man.

1) Yes. 2) I don't PVP very often, and I just got the spells. But I'm sure that with enough practice and usage, all of them will see use. 3) I agree. Many things are placeholder still (new pet spell icons don't even exist yet).

Fel Fire : New Alpha changes for Warlocks

I just started playing the Alpha today, and thought I'd chime in about the new soul shard system. 1) It's extremely buggy, the new Shadow Burn doesn't return the new types of soul shards, but the old kind - filling your inventory =p 2) You will only really use two types of Soul Burn ability's. Instant Soul Fire (it's as awesome as you think it is) and Instant Summon demon. 3) The shards (even with SB being broke) really aren't bad to manage at all. NOTHING compared to the current system. 4) Soul Harvest has the same spell graphics as that Mage mana getter back spell, whatever it's called. About Demons: 1) All warlocks have Fel Dom, Demonic Knowledge, and Master Demonologist. It's as awesome as you think it is. 2) The have much better stats and do more damage 3) They are all bugged, so it's hard to test fully. Misc... 1) Spell Stones and Fire Stones are gone. 2) Class variety is really gone. There is no 'variety' of specs anymore. You get pretty much all talents available to you in your given tree. 3) Inferal and Doomguard still suck ass - and are currently unchanged. 4) Right now, I have more spell power and HP self buffed (4361 spellpower with Imp and Fel Armor 34k HP unbuffed) than I do raid buffed in current WoW. 5) Your Haste is dramatically lower with no spellstone, sad... 6) I've yet to need to Life tap as Destr (currently the only playable spec, you literally cannot spec any of the others) Ask any questions and I'll try my best to answer :)

Fel Fire : An Introduction - Shaglock

I'm looking forward to reading to what you have to say about Demo DPS. Currently, I'm looking at Demo as a raid support build, not worrying too much about the damage I do - although it really peeves me when Mages are ahead of me (which is always in guild runs). We typically run with 3 or 4 mages, and I, the only Warlock. As demo, I can barely compete with the top 10 while averaging 7-9k dps (depending on the fight of course). So, once again, I look forward to seeing what you have to say. ;)

Fel Fire : Cataclysm Class Preview: Warlocks

I felt the same way after reading the changes. They didn't really excite me like I was hoping. In all honesty, the first thing I did once I landed on the page with the changes listed by a blue was: CTRL:F, "green fire" I was saddened by the results. Overall though, most of the changes look like a lot of fun. I'm really hoping they do something like the old school Demonic Sac which actually gives us some sort of neat graphics like you mentioned above.
