Budding Genius/Lemming...Given your obvious lack of understanding concerning Now and Laters, I'll take that as a compliment. The problem that most Philistines of the candy world have with Now and Laters is the fact that they don't understand the proper way to consume them. They are not meant to be chewed, but rather savored. Enjoying this candy is not a sprint, but a marathon my friend. Some would argue that it is more like a biathlon if you include getting the candy out of it's wrappings, but that is beside the point. Take your time, and enjoy the flavor. If you're in such a hurry, chew on a certs (and watch the sparks).

Hey Michael, this looks pretty interesting. Are you familiar with The City (http://www.onthecity.org/) by Zondervan? It seems very similar. My church, Seacoast (http://www.seacoast.org/) just rolled this out to its campuses this past month. I'm still trying to get familiar with it, but it shows a lot of potential to create opportunities for people to connect and build community. I'm curious how these two compare.

Grant, I had a similar experience reading this book. My wife an I are currently in the middle of multiple "Plan B" situations, and some of Pete's statements absolutely wrecked me. I so much identified with Pete's analogy of living in the Saturday before Easter. This book has been one of many things God has used recently (including your blog) to let me know He is still in control, and I (we) haven't been forgotten. I have no idea how everything is going to turn out, but I'm learning that I don't need to, I just have to trust Him. My recent post Plan B by Pete Wilson (a book review & giveaway)

Great post Tripp. I have heard those in Antioch did not refer to themselves as "Christians", but they were called that by others and that it was intended as a term of derision, not a compliment. I have no idea if this is true or not, but if so, it appears we have come full circle with the use of this word. "Christian" is not a label I put on myself. It is a label that others, depending on their definition of that word and their opinion of me, may or may not use to describe me. Hopefully, when other people label me (as they inevitably will), whatever word they choose to use will be based on the fact that they see Christ's character reflected in my own.

I experienced at least 8 of these last night (John Mark McMillan / Shane & Shane), but I've been to so many Christian concerts over the years, for the most part, they don't phase me any more. One you didn't mention that does annoy me is the guy in the crowd that tries to let everyone know he is somehow connected to one of the guys in the band. It annoys me mostly because it's some lame "6 degrees of separation" connection that is totally irrelevant, but he makes it sound like he's hanging out with them when they're not on tour! By the way, did I ever tell you that my wife taught John Mark McMillan's wife ballet 20 years ago? I bet I can get us back stage, and maybe a free T-shirt! I like too many bands to narrow it down to just one, but the best live concert I've been to would have to be Dave Matthews Band. They did a song one time about Jesus, so I'm pretty sure they're a Christian band right?

Great sets David. I find technical problems don't bother me too much when I am leading, but when I am worshiping in the congregation, I tend to notice everything (missed notes, A-V gliches, etc...) and it can be VERY distracting to me.
