Good strong espresso from freshly roasted coffee beans.
My parents would talk about the French restaurant they went to but they never took me. The only way I could try French food was to cook it myself, so I did, starting as a preteen. I ended up cooking dinner weeknights for my mother who worked. Wine reduction sauces on an everynight basis. I was obsessed and that started me on a long journey of self taught cuisines. Once I was on my own, I started an organic garden. Now, with arthritis and gardening isn't so much fun, I'm so grateful to have Farm Fresh to You delivered every week to cook healthy fresh meals. Thank you for being available in my area.
Fava beans. When I've tried them, they seem to be way too much work to shell and prepare. Any tips? I feel like I'm missing something good, but I haven't conquered them yet.
I love baby bok choy. I cook it in a chicken broth with some chicken wontons, throw in some sesame oil, a touch of soy sauce and some sriracha sauce. It's delicious.
I love brussels sprouts too. Roasted or simply shaved and marinated as a salad.
I love to put three or four eggs in a pot of water and just bring it to a boil, turn the heat off, let it sit for 10 minutes and drop them in a bowl of ice water. That makes them easy to peel and they're not too hard cooked. Just the way I like them and ready in the fridge for some quick breakfasts with just a touch of salt when I'm in a hurry. Or on top of some cooked lentils for dinner.
