isn't there enough crappy news in the world? Half the stuff that gets reported as news qualifies either as gossip or police blotter...either way, there is very little that really stands out as NEWS...bonafide news...so, if we are gonna have a system that reports gossip and acts like a police blotter, I'm happy to have a happy story every now and then...reminds us to be humble, to be thankful, and to look for good....it does exist.
taters gonna tate...but I say good on ya Semaj...may you continue to find the inspiration and direction needed to keep your faith in yourself and make your momma proud. Don't listen to the taters...follow your heart and the goodness that lives there...and if you get lost, reach out to people or organizations who can help you find your way again! There are plenty of us out here who want to see you succeed!
I honestly don't understand the justification for opposing a food bank because people in need are waiting for food. Was he passed out or simply sleeping? Do you really know or did you just make an assumption? What, if any, kind of conversation did you have with this gentleman who was in need? What additional responsibility is the food bank operator supposed to take in our society? I mean, above and beyond making sure that hungry people are fed? I just don't get what you are trying to accomplish by opposing something that is serving the community.
and you were doing the research in your free time?
I'm working toward a bachelor's in Ecopsychology, and this is what I believe. I believe that Hazel Wolf is a role model for us all and the authors of "Breakthrough" have the right idea...all these ills that we want to address have their roots in poverty. We must reach out to those who are struggling, hungry, homeless and helpless. If we reach out to them, we will find the answers to all our other problems. This, for me, is the first and single most important area where we need to put our love, energy and money. It might take a while, but we will get there.
Right on! That's the spirit of Christmas...forget all the rhetoric about who 'owns' this season...this guy embodies the spirit of Christmas! Thank you, whoever you are!
I have to admit, this is the stupidest story ever...but then I didn't have to click on it...it's in the entertainment section, which you would have to scroll down to see, you goofballs...if you don't want to read the story, don't click on it...
There is too much violence today...and my prayers are with them. No matter where violence occurs, no matter what reason - our first thoughts should always be for healing.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family...may grace be with them during this terrible time.
you make a lot of assumptions about who/what i do or do not know in your op-ed piece.
