Three really bad home games in a row and such a long time since I have seen anybody smiling in The Duke after the game. I do not boo our team but I am getting fed up with the players and the manager bleating that we need to get behind the team. Guess what guys. We traipse to Upton Park on public transport that, more often than not, conspires to ape a scene out of Trains, Planes and Automobiles. We do not get waived into the ground in our blacked out £100K cars. I looked around at the good people surrounding me in the West Stand today and thought about how many people there work their guts out and sacrifice other luxuries to get their season tickets. Forget about Sam for a minute. In the second half of the game today most of the team were just bloody lazy. They may have been confused by the management but 6 out of the 11 just didn't chase the ball. I would like to invite our players to come and support us supporters at work. Spend your leisure time watching people who clearly aren't enjoying their toil and encourage somebody who works as a carer, in a factory or in a shop earning minimum wage.

I agree Andy. It hurts a bit right now but these things do happen. The commentary said that we complain about long ball football but if anything we overplayed the ball - especially in midfield. There is our problem I think - we have yet to find a comfortable fit in midfield. Hey ho. Back to watching the transfer news on SSN.

There are no excuses. We had loads of chances and didn't score another goal. They had two corners and scored from both. Faye was really good but Tonks and Linda were at fault for the goals. They didn't press us - we imploded on ourselves. I have obviously seen us lose loads of games but this one makes me feel really grumpy because they didn't beat us - we lost it ourselves. Grrrrr.....

Hello all - I haven't posted for ages as work has been the busiest ever (or maybe I am getting too old to stand the pace!). Really honest view of the Ipswich game from me. Cole played well doing what he does but HE CAN'T JUMP. I am no tactical expert but just wanted to point that to Mr A in case if had escaped his attention. Therefore, 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 needs to be played on the ground. Secondly, whatever the question is - the answer, on what I have seen so far, isn't Carew. Our midfield does miss Scotty badly. Hell, the Spuds' midfield is so much better with him then it makes sense that we are worse off without him. I think Nolan will eventually get there and his intentions are good but.... My last, and most angry bit is about the tactics on Tuesday. SA had obviously told them to do the hoof it up bit because Green kept trying to pass on the floor to his team mates but it was proving rather difficult to do with the rest of them waiting in the opposing third like a dog having the ball thrown to them in the park. Phew - feel much better for that and can even face going to Palace on Saturday!

I agree with all the points Iain made. LBM really gave them a hard time when he went through the middle and forced them to make more fouls than any other player. Strange that our improvement in form coincided with Upson going off! I don't think that anybody in the team would be bothered if he was dropped for the last three games. Give the armband to the real captain. COYI

I am still smiling after Saturday. The atmosphere in The Duke after the game was brilliant. We then went to the fabulous Thai Thai on Barking Road where there were 40 Norwegian and Swedish Hammers of all ages eating and having an awards ceremony. Iain - can we kindly ban you for the rest of the season. No offense meant but we have a 100% success rate when you can't get there. I think you should be on the radio 24/7 until the last weekend in May!!

Happy days. That was just the best afternoon. The best thing for me was seeing Green having a real go at Jac and Tomka for the goal. Not because I was fed up with them because they were great for most of the game but Green doesn't shout enough in my mind. We can do this. COYI

I agree (although it chokes me to do so) hat they are a good team. I would question decent ground though. It is the only London ground I went to once and said never again. It has even worse transport links than ours - ie. no underground unless you get on a bus. It also has a horrid atmosphere.
