Wake up, white people. We've got a darkskin in the white house now, it won't be long before a mexican is in there and we lose control of our country completely. We have to rise up to protect our way of life. Wake up white people.....

Right on. Maybe we should put Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and the whole lot of those corrupt dem leaders into orbit. Or maybe they could be used to re-enact the Columbia disaster. That's change I could believe in.

There's nothing wrong with offering cash to researchers or subjects of research (happens all the time), but this doesn't sound like research. Real research follows the data where it leads and then draws conclusions; from the little bit that I've read, this project isn't kosher on that front. At my university, a study like this would have to pass muster with the research ethics office. It'd be interesting to know what institutional flags were raised, and how those discussions went.

Geesh, I criticized one column; how does that mean I have a problem with Breitbart? If I didn't want to hear opposing views, I clearly wouldn't be here. Seems to me that YOU are the one who doesn't like hearing any kind of dissent.

Saying someone is bitching and moaning is not name-calling. Calling him a bitch or a moaner would be (I wouldn't do either), but describing a person's actions generally is not. My point is simply that he could have communicated the information he did--which does look pretty darn suspicious--without the choleric tone. Remember William F. Buckley, Jr.? Now there was a guy who eviscerated the left with almost every word he spoke, but he always did so in a measured tone, and even his barbs and insults were elegant. I'm more apt to be persuaded by someone with Buckley's voice than someone with Breitbart's. So you're right--I'm not complaining about substance. I'm objecting to style. What's wrong with that?

Why would I NOT read the article? If I want to learn things about my world, shouldn't I be reading as much as I can, from all sides? I'm an independent, and I read stuff from left, right, and center. Surely I'm allowed to disagree with something AB writes just as I might disagree with something Huffington writes, aren't I?

Ummmm... I don't have delicate sensibilities, and since you don't know me I don't see how you can call me a MoonBat. And just what is this "narrative" that's being controlled, anyway? Seems to me that the idea that there was a single narrative went out in the 60s at the very latest...

I teach at a university, and I have to say that I've been to countless departmental and college meetings and I've never heard a right/left political agenda advanced, EVER. Same goes for informal gatherings--lunches, parties, etc. Now, I don't doubt that some profs' politics do make it into the classroom, but I've seen no evidence of a *movement* to do this. And frankly, I give my students enough credit to realize that just because a prof says something doesn't mean the students will buy it hook, line, and sinker. Certainly my students are free to roll their eyes at *anything* I say. :-)
