Oh my goodness! Britney!! I don't know whether to take that as a good or bad thing!! lol. I know I complain a lot on my blog about my kids. I feel convicted about it but I also feel the desire to be honest and share how I am feeling with my readers. I think honesty does everyone some good. Obviously everyone's life is different and more importantly everyONE is different! Having kids is the most incredible blessing and gift and... It's the hardest thing in the world to bring up kids. You have to say goodbye to your life you once knew and in a sense let go of the things YOU want. Vin and I didn't have the luxury of enjoying each other or even experiencing marriage before we jumped into parenthood. Ever since I met Vin our lives have been nothing but a HUGE whirlwind! We met, a few weeks later got engaged and 6 months later got married! One year after that we were pregnant Cohen and 18 months after Cohen was born we were pregnant with Isla. We've been through many valley's and many peaks in the 5 years we've been married. I'm learning to take each day as it comes and I feel I am still grieving some things I have lost in my life sine motherhood. Not to mention I definitely battle depression and anxiety. I hope my honesty encourages and doesn't make me look like the worst mom in the world... I really love my children more than my own life and I would gladly lay it down for them. I don't necessarily even mean death, I mean giving up the things I want and putting their needs first. It's a tough thing to learn when you're a bit of a controller and or selfish person (which I believe I am both) but it's a lovely journey and I'm grateful for God's incredible love and grace through it all. I know I'm not a perfect Mom but I do have The Lord on my side and I have found so much freedom and healing in sharing on on my blog. Thank you Britney and everyone for reading, caring and not judging me. I love you!
