I watched the pilot last night and it was so delightful! I love Jane and Xiomara and Abuela, and just everything the pilot chose to be.

Mark Reads Tortall was how I came across this site, and while I'm super sad to leave Tortall and everybody in it, I'm also super excited to see you cry forever fall in love with the Emelan crew and their adventures.

I think my question would be what did you like about each Tortall protagonist? Were there elements of any of their characters that you didn't like or particularly care for?

I adore the pure hilarity of this book. YEERKS INFESTING HORSES. RACHEL AND MARCO BEING MULDER AND SCULLY. CASSIE BEING CINDY CRAWFORD. ANDALITE TOILET!

Like, I understand compared to some of the other books (11 and 13 specifically), it's so much lighter in tone, but I think it's needed, at least this early in the series. We've seen how hard and dangerous being an animorph can be, but there had to be just some absolutely absurd adventures that happened to these kids. These books are breathing room books, at least for me. Even when shit is super dark and scary and unbelievably dangerous, there should be moments of levity.
