The Incredible Art Department : Art Careers and Jobs in the Visual Arts

Beadmaking would fall under crafts. I would recommend getting a major in fine arts at your area college and they will help guide you to the field you want to focus on. Obviously bead-making is a limited profession so you would want to get into a field that might include it along with other art related subjects.

Thanks for sharing your peeve! Personally, I believe it is never OK for an art teacher to take over a piece of art. They should be giving you instruction on how to improve instead. Hang in there!

The Incredible Art Department : Art Jobs: Animator and Cartoonist

Begin looking for paid and unpaid internships. Come up with creative ways to get your work in front of those who make hiring decisions in large and small agencies. The field is very competitive so it will take a lot of networking and dropping off your reel and portfolio. You have to be very persistent.

Not sure where you're located. I'm also not sure if you're willing to pay for private schools. If there are no charter schools focusing on the arts in your area or private schools you can't afford that focus on the arts, then I would consider enrolling her in art classes at your local arts center. Universities also sometimes have classes for students in the public schools. As far as an attorney, I wouldn't be able to help in that area. Maybe one of the readers of this page can suggest one.
