HGTV Dream Home : From Desert to Dynamite

Seeing how much the taxes cost is quite disconcerting. To think, just the taxes on this "giveaway home" are more than a well appointed new home where I currently live. *whew* It's sad, but I would be forced to sell it right away. :(

Hi everyone, I apologize in advance is this was done/posted somewhere in teh mix of many pages on this thread, but I didn't find it.. Has anyone created a placemark for Google Earth or Google maps that shows the location of the Dream House that can be shared? I did find where a dreamer had entered "117 Turquoise trail" as the possible address, only I can't find it. :(

HGTV Dream Home : Public Tours: Get Your Tickets!

I know... Wouldn't it be too cool to be sitting out on a quiet evening and see jackrabbits whiz by? Or coyotes off in the distance? I'm a little concerned about rattlers and the like but I believe they can be dealt with on a case-by-case basis if they're common to that area.

Cute and furry I can go for, but if you add "and dangerous" into the mix, well.... As long as it won't kill me, I can deal with it. :)

Good day SuperFan! I've just found this blog after following the Dream home for a little while. I wanted to throw out some observations and questions about the whole thing if you don't mind. (If I'm asking in the wrong place, please direct me to where I should, thanks!) First, you have to understand that I am a "security-type". I like knowing that my space is secured and not easily accessible to those who might believe they need "my stuff" more than I do. I looked around the description and didn't notice if there was a security system installed in the house. Is there, and does it cover all areas of the house. (external openings/glassed areas, casita, garage, etc.) Secondly, I would like to know what indigenous wildlife is common to that area. Both the harmless and harmful variety. Is this information available online somewhere? Thanks in advance for your time! Ken Baton Rouge, LA
