West Ham Till I Die : Keep Your Fingers Crossed!

It's good to see so many players on international duty and it is great to see the team performing so well with everyone fit and playing with confidence. But most pleasing is that the calls for the manager to be sacked have stopped, the fans are backing him and even Tony Cottee has stoped being negative about him. Lets hope we remain injury free and premership safe and back the manager whatever happens.

West Ham Till I Die : Parker Enters the Pantheon, as Balance is Key to Resurgence and Redemption!

Great post SJ. I haven't stopped smiling since Sunday afternoon. Great result and a team that at last look up for the fight. If we can keep players injury free then we have got a chance to stay in the EPL. In a season where there has been no shortage of surprise results we need to keep winning . Relegated with 42 points before, I see a similar siyuation this season. The 40 points that are reckoned to ensure safety don't look to be enough.

West Ham Till I Die : Resuts: Player Performances v Liverpool

I am over the moon at the performance and having a player of TH stature seems to have made most players up their game. I have a word of caution though 40 points may not be enough we have gone down with 42 points and in a sesaon where it appears any team can cause an upset we may need a few more points than 40.

West Ham Till I Die : Credit Where It's Due

I think most of us are fairly happy with the new signings. G&S and KB have shown that they are good negotiators and will not be dictated to by the likes of spurs or others. If we survive in the EPL then hopefully they will be more proactive in the summer window and give us a season of expectation rather than disappointment. If we can survive then what will be Grant's outcome. Clearly these rumors of MO'N and others taking over will resurface unless he can get a mid table finish and we end on an upbeat note.

West Ham Till I Die : As If Things Couldn't Get Worse

In the premier league where there's Diouf there is usually Fat Sam. Now that Newham Council have agreed to finance the WH move to OS with 40M G&S can sell UP and pocket the developers cash leaving us with championship football in Stratford. Diouf, Fat Sam and whatever players can't find a new club.

West Ham Till I Die : Illunga, Behrami and McCarthy on their Way?

The most important point in your post is that it is all still to play for and a couple of wins can make a huge impact on our league position. G&S need to stump up the money now not make provision for the championship next season.

Brilliant day some good performances apart from Parker, Sears great goal, Green several top drawer saves,Upson, Tomkins and Kovac solid. A long way to go but some hope after today. A few new faces arriving and perhaps a strikers coach that can instill the confidence in Cole that he has missed after Zola.

West Ham Till I Die : The Friday Transfer Rumours

I am an admirer of Keane but he is past his best. The reported fee seems very high and I wonder if the terms under which he was loaned to Celtic last season were anywhere near the figures we have benn quoted. Perhaps the difference was that he wanted to play for Celtic, as I cannot see them paying this type of fee but he will only come to WH for an over the odds fee. That being the case we should leave him alone

West Ham Till I Die : Happy Christmas, Happy Hammers

Merry Xmas to all Hammers. At this time of year three wise(?) men were travelling to Fulham to where the King Harrods had his troops. Looking for thrre points that would guide them to their salvation and give hope for their future. One wise(?) man being extremely doubtful for his future is expecting a treasure chest to revive his fortunes. Will his wish be GRANTed? Or will the other two wise(?) men call time and keep their hands in their pockets? Whats your bet?

West Ham Till I Die : How Do We Break Out of the Historical Vicious Circle of Under-Achievement?

The answer Tom is that until we get rid of G&S we run the risks I outlined which are already starting with the proposed sale of UP. One supporter wrote an open letter on this web site requesting a debate with G&S over all these issues. He points out that without the supporters they have a pitch and a building and we hold the upper hand. If after the transfer window our fate looks sealed then G&S have a depreciating assett and we fans should boycott games at a time when they are most vunerable. Perhaps Tony Fernandes would then snap up the club at a bargain price and rebuild our great club at UP.

The acadamy has traditionaly been the backbone of our success and TC has some good potential talemt coming through. However due to our clubs financial position and the regulation possibility that UK born players have to numerically be predominate at EPL clubs, the value of this talent may increase to a level that would make our retention of these players unlikely. Would G&S refuse the megabucks of ManC, ManU or Chelsea I think not if we have a player they covert. Football is massive business for those clubs with billionaire owners that want success at any price. G&S will not get a look in at their reputed wealth and as with UP the crown jewels will disappear and be replaced with leases and loan signings.

West Ham Till I Die : I'd Rather Have Barton Than Sidwell

I feel that we are becomung like the Canadian Mounties perhaps it is just the snow together with the fact that we always get our man. Sidwell was supposed to be joining us when he left Reading for Chelski, Chelski for Villa, now it appears that he will arrive at UP.The same happened with Benni McCathy but unfortunatly he too got to UP eventually. This signing does not make any sense as we are well covered in central mid field and I agrre with some of the other contributers that a mass exedus may be on the cards. This also indicates that Gramt will be staying as manager if he is selecting who goes or arrives. I await details of our transfer dealings with trepidation.

I can't see the comparison. Curbs is an established EPL manager keeping both Charlton and WH in the EPL. Roy Keane walked out on Sunderland leaving them facing relegation. Who would you like to manage us within the realms of possibility?
