3GS 6.15 baseband on 5.0.1. I need to restore. Can i do this with custom firmware through itunes nice and simply or will i need tinyumbrella's assistance?
I'm confused what happens when Apple stops signing a firmware. Does this mean you can't downgrade to it or does this also mean you cant restore?

iMessage says "waiting for activation"
I activated with SAM, still no luck. There was a fix posted a while ago but I can't find the comment. Thanks!
EDIT: It seems I didn't activate with SAM correctly. I deactivated again and plugged into iTunes. iTunes seemed to be doing something. I flipped iMessage on and off a few times and rebooted twice and it just started working. Sorry I don't know the actual steps that got it to work but fiddling around with it as stated should get it working for you. Hope this helps!
