Kelly Minter : You Are Always With Me

Kara, thank you for such affirming words. I am truly honored to know that God would use me in your life. I can't imagine what the last three years have been for you, but I know the Lord doesn't waste anything. Thank you for the time to share. The book of Nehemiah was a blessing and challenge for me, so I'm glad you're experiencing it that way too. Many blessings to you, Kelly

Thank you so much. Such encouraging words. We're all on a journey as we understand more every day what it means to get to be with Him. Thanks for your comments about the studies. I believe the 1, 2 & 3 John study will release in November of this year, 2014. Many blessings to you.

Thank you so much Kathy. So encouraging to hear your story. Thank you for taking the time to share. Also, love to hear about the eight women from different denominations meeting together. Sounds amazing.

Kelly Minter : Quiet and Small, It's Okay

Hi Patti, Sometimes when I mention a particular author or book it doesn't mean I've had a chance to research his or her entire history or body of work. I've read several books by Nouwen and never have I read anything that has ever hinted at any of the things you mentioned. I have only known him to point to Jesus Christ and the fundamentals of the Christian faith. I have a strong desire to share biblical truth and to promote others who do the same, so I hope this blog will not be taken as an offense but as an encouragement. I truly hope this helps. -Kelly

HI Vicki - Internet is pretty poor in the Amazon as you can imagine :) I'll try to put a blog post together recapping some of our experiences. It was a very blessed and effective time. I love that part of the world!

The next study is on the book of Nehemiah. It's called, "Nehemiah: A Heart That Can Break" and will be out Feb 1, 2012, Lord willing! Thanks so much for your sweet encouragement!

Hi Kim, The Fitting Room is actually not part of The Living Room studies (like Ruth and No Other Gods) but is a book on the Christian virtues. It does have some discussion questions that can be done in a group, but just wanted to let you know it\'s not a bible study per se. My next study on the book of Nehemiah will be out Feb, 2012 Lord willing!

Hi Tonia, It's not part of the Living Room Series. I'm working on that study right now though, so stay tuned. However, The Fitting Room is a book on the virtues that includes discussion questions for group time, but it isn't a bible study per se. Hope this helps!

Alli! Hit Garrett's Farm - he's in the main section about halfway down on the right (if "scratch" is on your left). His name is Ray and he's great. He'll give you chicken backs (or other parts) for really cheap. Also, his whole chickens aren't bad. $2.99 a pound I think. You'll really like him - he's a great guy. Very "salt of the earth" and loves NASCAR :) Miss you!

Alejendro - I think you do the same thing without the chicken. Just throw in tons of vegetables and stalks and spices and boil/simmer for several hours and I think you'll have something really great.

Yea. Love it! This is the way I see it... better tasting, how God designed it, more nutritional - and, yes, a bit more expensive but worth the investment.

I wish there was a way to do this but I don't have that option on Word Press that I know. If you copy and paste into a document you could print the recipe I believe.

Kelly Minter : Shipping Update on Beth Moore Summer Study

Hi There! Thank you for this question and forgive my delayed reply. I have been finishing up a book and have gotten so behind! I'm not sure I have a great answer to your question, other than there must have been something that deeply connected them to Naomi. Think about the many years they were married to her sons, the discussions they surely had about living in Bethlehem, their God and their traditions. This would have had a great affect on Orpah and Ruth - I even think of how incredibly close my brother in-law is to my family after seven years of marriage to my sister. I think he would say we are really his family now. So, even though it might have been perfectly normal for them to have returned to their own families, I think it is also very plausible that they would want to stick with Naomi and make a new life in the land that had been their husbands' home. These are just my thoughts... I sure hope they help!
