It seems as though everyone is scared of letting friendships run its course. It is perfectly natural and okay for friendships to fade and continue on with life and meet new people. If you guys were truly friends, (or are) you will stay in contact, or make more of an effort to get back into contact. Facebook makes people too attached to others when they should not be (old friends, class mate, someone they met twice, a cousin they barely see/know, co worker etc).
