Last year with NBA 2K9 me and my cousin played 3 season of the Association together. I couldn't play that long by myself cause I just don't get the same fun feeling playing against the CPU by myself. Everyone who plays 2K online will tell you the same thing... The online modes are broken and lag is very bad. 2K servers have been bad for the last 3 years and they have done nothing to fix it. Pasta has flamed EA many of times for not stepping up to the plate about lagging issues. Servers should have been their top priority with a game that plays so well offline instead of the My Player crap and trying to milk an extra 5 dollars out of people. You can also ask anyone that has played Live and they will tell you that online is fun. The gameplay still has its share of issues but at least EA has stepped up to the plate and fixed some nagging issues. If you don't like Live cool, but don't try to call someone out for giving you the facts. I played over 1000 games online with 2K8 but ever since 2K9 the online game has gotten worst. I'm disgusted at the 2K basketball fans who try to act like its nothing wrong with the game. 2K is the worst when it comes to online play. And it has some major flaws in the gameplay like not being in total control of your player and running into invisible walls. Like I said 2K8 had very little lag but I returned 2K9 because the lag was unbearable and don't get me started on how bad Team Up mode was. Also don't talk about connection speed because I can play any EA sports game with no lag. 2K has better gameplay but when it comes to online, 2K sucks and everyone knows it. As me being an avid online player I'm starting to lean towards Live for this year even though I still don't like the gameplay. But if I can get an online game with no lag, I'll be happy. I switched from Live to 2K about 4-5 years ago because it was the better game. But while Live is constantly getting better, 2K is staying to same. The difference between 2K8 and 2K9 is very little. But you can’t say the same thing about Live. I still like 2K better but Like is fun this year and there's no getting around that. And if 2K can't deliver on the all user controlled 5 on 5 multiplayer, I might be switching to Live. I just wish all the 2K lovers would actually open their eyes instead of being straight haters. In my opinion, after looking at the Madden videos, this game plays way to fast. During my several games, I noticed multiple glitches like the ball being snapped over my head, resulting in a dead ball and poor angles on defense. Madden seemed more fluid and fun to play. Even though I like Florida’s playbook I didn't like the demo that much as I also found it hard to run. I'll give it a rent but I might just be saving my money for Madden.
