Marriage obviously means more to the gay community than it does to you or they wouldn't be fighting for these rights. That aside, this is not a moral issue for you to decide. It is an equal rights issue. When you speak of Christianity and marriage, that is your view. There are many Christian gays and lesbians (some even ministers, imagine that!) and many Christian religions that support gay marriage. As for children growing up in gay and lesbian families. I say they are lucky. They have two loving parents. How many times in the news do you see gay parents abusing their kids. I have never seen an article about gay parents and abuse or incest. Maybe it is that the gay community has respect for marriage and children. These families should have the rights of every other family. What right do your have to say how people should live and deny these famlies the rights you take for granted????

Have you seen the news lately? People are holding huge marriage ceremonies for their dogs! What about divorces, maybe they should be illegal, what about all the politicians that are having gay affairs, what about the tv shows such as the bachelor? What about the ones of you that are married but having extra-marital affairs. It is you, the "straight society" that has taken the meaning out of marriage. When you speak of the Bible and marriage as having meaning and being special (too special for gays and lesbians) I wonder what planet you're from. Look what the straight society has done to marriage!!!!
