<title>Synaptic Light - a Journey in Filmmaking and Social Media : The Problem with Christian Film</title>
<link>http://synapticlight.com/the-problem-with-christian-film/#IDComment48131821</link>
<description>To me, the big advantage of books is that so much is left up to the imagination of the individual. A situation can only be as scary or horrific as the mind allows. When you put it into film though, you end up &amp;#039;telling&amp;#039; people what to think or believe. So yes, that puts a huge amount of responsibility onto the shoulders of film makers, especially if you&amp;#039;re trying to make a film with Christian morals / values! I think the thing that annoys me most about many Christian films though, is that it falls into the typical stereo-type of what people believe Christians to be. I agree with you Josh- characters often come across as weak and simplistic. That&amp;#039;s not for the most part what I have experienced. Life, even with Christ, can often be messy and confusing and a challenge. I don&amp;#039;t have any answers, but look forward to people tackling this issue! </description>
