Because if you had, you would know that our government does not have the power to offer or mandate government-run healthcare. The federal government is given certain powers, and those powers are limited. Everything that is not specifically stated is left to private enterprise and the individual states. Surprise, healthcare is not something that the federal government has the right to get its mitts on...therefore, making federal laws mandating how healthcare can be paid for, offered, or anything else is...ding ding ding!
