It is misleading. It initially says 1,000 of 250,000 but later mentions the 3 percent of 247,331. It is correct that 1,000 are fradulent...that is of the 3 percent sample are which is 7,420.

3 percent of 247,331 equals 7,420 so angryseattleite is correct on the math. You read the story again.

Body parts have nothing to do with directions. What's this with the "right-hand curve" in the fifth paragraph of the story? Why not right-elbow or right-knee curve? The use of the word "hand" is useless and stupid.

As memory9 says start by trimming the retirement back to what it should have been had he not falsified OT and then deduct another 25% or more for life for lying and being a total jerk. There most definitely should be some kind of financial penalty.

Totally agree. This is exactly the point my wife and I discussed as soon as some details were available. There is no way we would ever not know if our child was having swimming in PE...especially if they didn't know how to swim. Or maybe these parents didn't even now that.
