Big Hollywood : Why I Walked Out of 'Year One' Crying

Thank you for sharing Victoria, I too am an alien in this Judd Apatow type comedic world. I don't understand the thought process, movies that appeal to more people make more money. Very easy concept. Why is everyone investing in these gross movies? Crude lockeroom, disgusting humor is not appealing to all. Grandmother, my parents, my husband, my kids and myself want the old comedies back. These crude movies that are out there are only making money because there is no other options. Please beam me up Scotty, I want to go back in time to get a good laugh with my family!

Big Hollywood : 'Global Citizenship': An Unsustainable Social Injustice

Thanks for addressing this Mr. Baldwin. Our internationally adoptive daughter has run into this very issue in her high school ESL class. With only being in an American school for two years, our 16 year old has been told some amazing things, such as Conservatives believe people need limits or they would do bad things, and Progress is not always good because people can't ever be perfect and progress has unintended consequences. She was told that what liberals believe about happiness/nature is- "it is possible for people on earth to find happiness by using reason and living in harmony with nature. Nature( including human nature) is good because it follows rational laws" and what conservatives believe on the subject of happiness/nature is-"They will always be fighting between people so you can't ever make everyone happy". So her question to me was why wouldn't you be liberal mom, you can be happy then! Needless to say, we were not happy!
