to bad we don't have chain gangs any more. but in all reality, from a cost stand point, (figuring the cost of the man hunt for him) wouldn't it be cheaper to just put a monitoring anklet like a home arrest unit on all work releasee's. better yet a human form of a dog training collar. get to far from the designated area and get the holy hell zapped out of ya.

KATU - Portland, OR : Illegal immigrant driver in hit-and-run that killed toddler gets 17-month term | KATU.com - News - P

this maybe a little off the subject, but this whole thing including everyones posts get me wondering. 95% of the people on here are opposed to illeagal immigrants. and most any person with common sense would say that 133 posts would be a fair sampling of the populations opinion. I mean if you were to ask 133 people on the street their opinion on something and you got 95% of the group saying the same thing then that would be a majority. using those numbers it would be fair to say that most of the population share those feelings based on that sampling. now 95% of people here are saying the same thing, we are very feed up with the illeagals here. then why is it nothing is happening. no legislations, new laws or major round ups and deportations. this country needs less non-working drains. If you are here legally and have learned the language fine. when a person can't find anyone fluent enough at mcdonalds to ask a question of (including the manager) then things have gone to far. I'm sorry but these are the ramblings of someone who is out of work and sick and tired of seeing illegal occupants of my country getting hand outs when my family struggles. blast me if you want!

what about a type of locator that can be "pinged" after a person is over due? they couldn't activate it for meanial things but once they are over due a gps location could be determined by the unit they carry. I know cell phones can be located with this technology.

KATU - Portland, OR : Man struck, killed by train in Vancouver | KATU.com - Portland, Oregon | Local

I work for the railroad in question qand I can tell you from the experiances of responding to accident scenes and working around the tracks that even a loaded grain train at 60mph is almost silent until its on-top of you. Granted, about half of our fatal accidents are indeed suicide, there are still plenty of true accidents. If there are more than one set of tracks, there can be more than one train at a time. If you HAVE to cross tracks at any place not protected by a protected crossing, for gods sake, look both ways, you do when you cross a street don't you? Also tracks are not your personal hiking trail, cross and get off the right of way!!!!

poachers are not thieves, they're law breakers. who owns wild animals? you? i don't think so. wild animals are just that, wild, un-owned. yes poachers are law breakers, but not thieves. at the risk of lossing what little rating i may have i will defend any poacher who is legitimatly feeding his family. its been this way for centuries. wild game is a food source just as a grocery store is. if your family is hungry how would you feed them? let the bashing begin!
