Is the DCMS blog only accessible through the CG Intranet? It said you needed to be "invited".

Weekly Leader : The Rest is Important

This reminded me of "Habit 7 - Sharpen the Saw" from Steven Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Successful People. One of my definitions of "Sharpening the Saw" is strengthening worklife balance and taking care of one's spiritual health. You're right - we need to take time for ourselves - away from work, and even away from family (yes!) - to recalibrate and balance our perspective. Thanks for the reminder - enjoy your time off!

Weekly Leader : The Honor in Bureaucracy

Great post - I especially liked "And, one of the main things we need from them is their steadfast belief in themselves as vital to our success." The same applies to those serving in "support" positions. Thanks!

CGBlog.org :: An Unofficial Coast Guard Blog : CGBlog Link List (updated and bumped)

There are 2 unofficial "inside the firewall" blogs on the CG ALC intranet site (and via the ALMIS portal)...the first is the "CO's Blog", and the second is the "ALMIS Blog" (found on the ISD tab and through the ALMIS portal).
