Yeah. A little unknown animation studio by the name of Pixar did that animation. (I love it too.)

I wonder if it's because they already have their faces cast for prosthetics, so they don't have to spend that extra time to build from scratch.

Excellent question. Maybe they list it as a range... ;)

I went to a con In the summer between Part I and Part II, and the guest was Brent Spiner. And people were asking him about his head, and what was going to happen, trying to get him to tell us anything. At first, he was, "Oh! that's right! You haven't seen it! You don't know!" and he said, "Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I no longer have to sit in the makeup chair for two hours. The bad news is that I don't have a head."

For me, too. And I was so surprised he could play a character that was so different than Murdoch. I couldn't believe it was the same guy. I became a Dwight Schultz fan from seeing that range.

There was an anecdote Patrick Stewart told at a convention a few years after this that he had real difficulty in saying the line about the ships in bottles. He said he kept saying "I used to play with boys in bottles when I was a ship."

It really *does* evoke food cravings, and smells and and that real sense of how food is connected to the feeling of home.

I hope you get to celebrate with Ethiopian food very soon.

So, Cutting for Stone *is* awesome, and you are correct, it would be Amharic, which is a Semitic language like Hebrew and Arabic, but, I admit aside from remembering seeing it, I don't know enough to make the lingual connection with any authority. Last night, my Ethiopian friend (from whom I only know a bit of Amharic) brought me lovely homemade injira with beef in berbere (she's a great cook), which I had for lunch today, so, I'm sorta feeling transported a bit right there, and getting off the ST path a bit, and I really have no point, except to concur with you in a rambly fashion...
