Sorry about that Kirsten. There is a post that is set to private. Those are comments on that post. That's why you get the error message. I need to do something about that! :-(

Non-Partisan Petition to Recall Elected Officials : Non-Partisan Petition to Recall Federal Elected Officials

I understand the sentiment Harold. Both sides have contributed to the mess we find ourselves in. BUT, having said that, don't you think that the Democrat party has done far, far more to destroy liberty and personal freedom than the Republican party ever has? And the Republican party at least acknowledges our concerns, even if they don't always do exactly as we'd like. That however is in the process of being solved. The single quickest way to restore sanity to our government, and thus liberty, is to take over the Republican party as we are. Thanks for the comment!

Big Government : The Right of Recall

The President can do nothing without Congress. I'd be happy with just being able to recall Senators. Reps are up for election every 2 years anyway. It might take longer to get signature and get them recalled before the next election anyway. Maybe if we go for Recall of Senators, they'd go back to being appointed by the States to protect them from the People. Then we go to work on our State legislators to reign them in. That's how it was supposed to work.

Big Government : Stopping the Runaway Congress

Read here a website started in July of 2009 for Recall of Federal Elected Officials when they over step their Constitutional authority, usurping State Sovereignty and thereby the freedom of We the People. It's based on the Declaration of Independence: "Whenever ANY form or government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to "alter or abolish" it...RECALL. http://www.avoiceofthepeople.com http://recall.avoiceofthepeople.com and http://www.good-gov.com

Big Government : Menendez NJ Recall Update: The Tea Party Goes to Court

July 4, 2009 this blog was started long before today. Perhaps the expertise to bring it to a conclusion was not present, but the idea was put out there and over 50,000 visitors have read it, many of whom are Tea Party activists. The unusual twist is that this recall site is based on the Declaration of Independence, since the meaning of the Constitution has been perverted by the courts and legislators. http://www.avoiceofthepeople.com also http://www.recall.avoiceofthepeople.com and most recently, http://www.good-gov.com Thank you.

While I share the sentiment expressed above, and your ultimate concerns, please read this article: Climate Change Treaty: Supreme Law of the Land, or Lawless Usurpation? Even if Obama signs and the Senate ratifies, it is not considered Constitutional. We the People must make our objections and our intent to refuse to obey any unlawful treaty abundantly clear. <a href="http://publiushuldah.wordpress.com/2009/10/27/cli..." target="_blank">http://publiushuldah.wordpress.com/2009/10/27/cli...

Impeachment is the ONLY LOGICAL solution, SAL? Is anyone in Congress even uttering the words??? Don't think so. I'd like to see you get our Representatives to get THAT started! The PEOPLE need to stand up for themselves, in whatever capacity they can...whether through State Governments, or directly for themselves. Impeachment is not even LIKELY. We need to stand up for ourselves.<div style="margin: 6px 0pt 0pt; display: block;"><a class="a2a_dd" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save"><img src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_171_16.png" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" border="0" width="171" height="16">

Thank you Deanna, for your concern and calls to action. Civil disobedience will be the last straw for the People in order to force public opinion onto our side. This will begin once the Federal government begins to demand of us on an individual basis to comply with their wishes, no matter how "benevolent, or good". Thank you for your courage!

Contributed by: Everett Bennett, Jr, GA Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Doing all I can to defend Liberty, I sleep quite well. Were I to slink away in cowardice, leaving my children to fend for themselves, my family, my friends, THEN I would not be able to sleep at night. Here are some words for you to ponder: “We have counted the cost of this contest, and find nothing so dreadful as voluntary slavery. Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we have received from our gallant ancestors. . . . We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them, if we basely entail hereditary bondage upon them. . . . [We are] with one mind resolved to die freemen rather than to live slaves.” “Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Their Taking up Arms,” co-authored by Thomas Jefferson and John Dickinson, and approved by the Continental Congress in 1775: We sleep quite well thank you, and awake refreshed, ready to fight again the next day!
