I have to agree with what Whitehawk3006 said about why the mother was not struck and the child was. As a mom I would try and save the child's life as well as my own. I am so sorry that the child had to die.

I am so sorry to hear about this young man. good luck with your efforts to pay for all the time that people spent out there looking for him and the funeral costs. specially since there are alot of hard times with people being unemployed right now.
